Ok, I’ll put down all the rumors here after getting a go signal from my source. NAIA will remain open as long as NMIAP is under construction. After NMIAP’s construction is done and after all the testing is also done, NAIA’s ops will transfer to NMIA, with NMIA inheriting NAIA’s IATA and ICAO codes. NAIA privatization is a go by the way.
I’ll give a hint, airport construction from scratch and built on a swampland usually takes longer than building an airport on solid ground. So yeah, without delays, NMIAP’s construction period will be at least 8 years if the private sector plans to open it with 2 parallel independent runways in Phase 1

And as expected, the DOTr is giving preferential treatment to the NAIA Consortium's revised proposal.....

The same poster said that June 7 is the inaugural opening...while June 22 is when T2 would start full operations. So if all goes well, you'll be deplaning at and clearing customs in T2...provided you are arriving on an international flight, and not transiting from MNL.

If you mean this, it's still there on the sides of the seats. Same design with the A330, as done by Tokyo-based Lift Aero.
