That seems like a strange plan - a 6th freedom route. Maybe demand is sufficient though

Catch is they must be getting very close to maximum number of sests Australia to Fiji from Bne syd mel under the bilateral. Sounds lije the next increase of seats to Fiji from Australia will have to be from ool, cbr or avv.

I don't think that OOL would work, connecting two leisure oriented markets. They could always get another A332 to upgauge SYD/MEL/BNE is the demand id there and they have the money. I'm not sure FJ have a plane that could fly BNE-LAX and with Qantas going 11 weekly, maybe it might not happen.

Not sure how that is going to work, when an A330 would not have the range to do Brisbane to LAX direct, could it be that it will be on QF metal with an FJ flight code.

What do people think about the viability of air services to Tokelau? Would New Zealand subsidize them? Where would they be to - APW? Could NAN be a possibility with an FJ ATR-42 instead?

I'd imagine it was used by "micro" operators or general aviation, with a mix of military usage, perhaps? I don't know if there is much of a GA scene in the Pacific but a Cessna Caravan or two would probably help with freight delivery. Arguably it would revolutionise life on the island so I hope it goes ahead. so
