Once Boeing releases a PR statement we will know for sure, but this should be a new order and not a UFO identification as Bloomberg reported on 3 April that Southwest was looking at placing an order.

Now picked up by Aviation Week who says it is a conversion from Southwest's existing options. So definitely a new order.

Another 787 order. A single plane for Uzbekistan. From the release cannot tell if it was an exercised option or new order.

What I don't get is backlog/total orders for A319neo went from 30 to 56 in the new O&D spreadsheet with 22 orders. Undisclosed orders went from 7 to 33. Are there 4 more they didn't even mention in the press release? It's not in the orders tab, just in "worldwide" actually.

Well Airbus got a 400+ aircraft order at the end of last year after Boeing leading all year. Never say never. But both have huge backlogs so a light year won’t be so bad.

Though Boeing have been great on the widebodies this year 97 so far in 4 months compared with -13 for Airbus.

And the Emirates 787 order hasn't even been firmed yet this year.

This was a conversion of their outstanding NG order. It was never announced by Boeing through a press release.

Lufthansa is firming 6 A320neo and 3 A320neo according to Airbus on twitter

I assume this is the order announced a few weeks a go for 6 A320neo and «up to» 6 A320ceo?

This now makes them the largest A320 operator at 395 aircraft.

Misleading to call LH group the largest operator as they are split among ~5 airlines. Also if you are including orders there are other airlines with a greater number of A320s on order/in fleet (AA, Air Asia, Indigo).

I am fully aware of that and the details have been mentioned above. Also the freighters were 2 B77F and thus my 4 B777 was correct.

Probably another order transfer. Air Europa still had 10 on order with Boeing, if we also 3 cancelations on the next order update it's probably them.

They can barely afford paying their current crew (and the express one) 16, even transferring ownership, are more than enough for their management capabilities.

Do we know the exact prices that were offered by each manufacturer to Vistara? Unless we do, it is very hard to say that "questionable" pricing has been used.

Congrats to Vistara on the upcoming new era of long haul service.

Good if this turns out to be true. A little bit of both: NB Airbus and WB Boeing. But to be honest everything is being speculated now. Let's hold our breath till official announcement.

BTW, anyone has A320neo Vs. Boeing 737Max family breakdown? I lost track with recent orders.

Airbus Total: 6090 (318 Delivered)
A319neo: 56
A320neo: 4104 (277 delivered)
A321neo: 1930 (41 delivered)

Boeing Total: 4504 (120 Delivered)

No precise breakdown on model as Boeing lists all as B737MAX

MAX 7: 58
MAX 8: 2336 (119 Delivered)
MAX 9: 136 (1 Delivered)
MAX 10: 407
Undisclosed: 1567

Also the Boeing Breakdown is up until April 2018. Airbus is up to May 2018.

Also keep in mind, especially for A320neo, there are airlines with 400+ on order that may not all get delivered from both manufacturers.

No. The Emirates order is not in there yet.

Also that's 4 months for Boeing not half a year! Just January-April. Airbus have released May but not Boeing yet. So the totals are 5 months for Airbus and 4 months for Boeing.
