Was not expecting those 77W to be United! I expected any follow-up widebody orders from them to be 787-10.

The MAX is much less surprising.

SMBC has now been confirmed as buyer of 50 A320neo and 15 A321neo from 2018.
The little strange thing here is that Airbus reported the undisclosed order as 50+17 aircraft.

From Reuters:

Jan 21 (Reuters) - Airbus AIR.PA:

* Leading aircraft lessor SMBC Aviation Capital has boosted its total order book for the A320neo Family to 181 aircraft after signing a firm order for an additional 65 A320neo Family aircraft (15 A321neo and 50 A320neo)

* Order was finalised in 2018 and included in the year-end order figures

Here is a calculation I've wanted to make for a while. It seems the best way to measure market share is by passenger (seat) capacity. This is all published data and takes into account aircraft size (more or less) without the vagaries of list price. This model below is quick and dirty as I didn't have a precise breakdown of passenger capacity per model, so I just used the median seat count of that published on Wikipedia with the following results (Boeing 170K seats, Airbus 130K seats)

Model Seats Units Capacity

Interesting, thank you.

(Freighters and military tankers should be excluded, or be listed with actual number of available seats.)

Keep going!

I can see several problems with your`data - but more importantly, it is a valuable proxy for total value delivered by AB/BA/whoever.
So keep going!

cheers

Lufthansa Cargo will lease 1 more 777F directly from Boeing for AeroLogic, the plane will be delivered this fall.

This was most likely the order for 1 777F for Boeing Capital that was booked in December.

The official press release only mentions 50+15 aircraft:
