N103DU was delivered yesterday. Not sure why N102DU is taking longer for tests etc.

Will Swiss definitely take the two A220-100s? I did a search and couldn't find any recent mention of them. No estimated delivery dates or such talked about.

According to Sylvain Faust at the FliegerFaust blog/site, there will be several more deliveries this month.

This is from his email newsletter today. He usually puts it on his site the next day.
Currently in flight is the client acceptance flight for next Delta A220 MSN 50021. This would be the 3rd A220 for Delta Airlines aircraft and "should not be" their last one before the end of the year. Expect to see it flying to Atlanta with its new master on this coming Tuesday, December 18, 2018.

Also today will be the last pre-delivery test flight for Air Tanzania A220 MSN 55047. Its following flight would be with the Air Tanzania performing its acceptance flight.

Expect Korean Air to perform their acceptance flight with their next A220 MSN 55037 Sunday or Monday leaving with the aircraft later during the week.

Expect to see Delta MSN 50023 and Air Tanzania MSN 55048 to perform their first flight as part of their pre-delivery verification flights during next week.

Expect a client acceptance flight for next SWISS A220 MSN 55046 soon.

Airbus total A220 deliveries for 2018 should be 33.

I've found FliegerFaust.com to be overly optimistic, and sometimes just plain wrong. And he sometimes includes click bait headlines and articles. But he's generally well informed about Bombardier.

As far as I can tell 2 have been delivered in Dec'18 so far (Swiss/Delta). This week-end (Dec.15 & 16) there are 3 CS300 aircraft performing multiple test flights at YMX. That should make 5 deliveries (or more?) for Dec.
That would be a record month-am I correct?

I agree that he does a lot of click baits. On twitter he tweets what looks like new info but it points to a page thats many days old. anything to get clicks, which is very annoying.
In terms of being well informated about Bombardier, let me clarify this. He's has internal sources at BBD and his well informated on the Cseries FAL. But everything else is rumor and speculation, e.g. which customer will order, which division will be sold to whem, etc. All of it is rubbish. The only thing I trust from him is which bird # is at which stage of completion, etc.

That would make 30 deliveries for 2019, would it not?

Now I honestly can't remember if 30 deliveries in 2019 was (is?) an official target for BBD, but if so BBD might actually make it (or rather, A+BBD will)

The target I saw was 40 as of June so they were 25% short if they only get to 30.

Thanks - not sure where I got the 30 figure from... So while 5 in December would be a good end to the year, they're still not up to speed on deliveries/

With the additional delivery to Delta today of 50021 plus the three 300s in test and forecast this month (55037:Korean, 55046:Swiss, and 55047:Tanzania), the total for December would be 6

They have never officially been cancelled or converted. Swiss did request to prioritize the CS300s deliveries and now that the last LX CS300 will be delivered in the next days, I guess we should see the two remaining CS100s soon. Also Sylvain Faust, who is usually very well informed about CSeries production, wrote this (September 2018):
[...]Weirdly enough is that SWISS is to take delivery of one of those (but slightly not as old) aircraft that were also parked (storage) outdoor, i.e. MSN 50018 and 50019. Maybe Airbus / Bombardier realized how expansive it was to revive 50018 back from the dead? But SWISS will still be taking 50019, so, one more to be brought back inside for a major tuned up soon.

Sounds to me as MSN 500018 was already back in final assembly at the time.

I thought I read that the 4th Delta bird was in flt. testing. Any word on if it will be delivered before the end of the year?
At the Investor Day presentation, Mr. Bastian said that they were getting 25 in 2019. I wonder if that means that there will be 29 on the property by this time next year, or is he including the 4 that were to he delivered in 2018? Can anyone confirm one way or the other?

The 4th should be flying to ATL either today or tomorrow.

After that, no deliveries until February where they will receive 3.

First Mobile A220 delivery for August 2019!!
http://aviationweek.com/commercial-avia ... mobile-map
needs subscription but Ive posted the most relevant bits below

Airbus will almost double its commercial aircraft production workforce in Mobile, Alabama as it ramps up A220 finishing here, executives tell Aviation Week....Now the company is gearing up to start delivery of A220s from here in August 2019 and to ramp up in 3 years to a monthly production rate of four aircraft.

So initially a completion center than a FAL?

That's great news for sure! We sure need any completion help we can get. That's the bottle neck in Mirabel. (And the lack of appropriate floor space for it)

Now, I was under the impression that "green" A220s were not certified to fly. I guess I was wrong.

So 48 A220s annually. Only from Mobile, or also Bombardier? They delivered 25 planes this year, sou thats almost twice the delivery rate.

I would bet an average of two or three a month. That is the typical delivery rate at Delta. That rate spaces out the future mtc checks.

Mmmmm straight thinking without constraints... That would mean a production/delivery rate of about 70 planes a year. They will need to feed the order book too then.

Yes you are right, because now the delivery rate is pretty low. I still have to fly an A220, but I think it is an awesome beauty.

The low delivery rate of several aircraft is handicapping sales. The A220 has spoken much potential...

I believe 30 have been delivered in 2018 already, Deltas fourth would make 31 and there is another possible one for Swiss and perhaps another still to be delivered.

7 were delivered in 2016, 17 in 2017, and at least 30 this year.

Using Mobile as a completion center makes a ton of sense. Completion seems to be the problem with the ramp up.

So true.

It was my understanding that "green" CSeries were not certified to fly as is. (Could be only weight and balance?) If so, I'm wondering how YMX's birds would get to Mobile for completion...

Someone did post several months ago that green CSeries/A220 could not be flown. My thought is that it must be a matter of doing some engineering work and voila.

I am given to understand that the interior positioning system inside FAL1 is very sophisticated. Surely it would not be economically wise to build another FAL1 in Mobile when the one is YMX is not yet operating near peak capacity and the.limiting factor on ramp up is completion. It wouod be interesting to know how much traveled work is being done.
