And yet another MAX delivery today, 12-29-18, N341RW / 3RW, also being delivered on flt# AAL9701. This will finish the 20 MAXs AA expected by YE 2018.

Are more 788 coming in to replace the 763?

In April 2018 , American agreed with The Boeing Company (Boeing) to acquire an additional 47 Boeing 787 aircraft, consisting of 22 787-8 aircraft and 25 787-9 aircraft with deliveries scheduled to commence in 2020 and continue through 2026.

A lot of questions can be answered with a read of quarterly and annual SEC filings.

2020 is the big year for 763 replacements. IIRC only 5 763s will be left going into 2021 with those retired in 2021.

And that coincides with PHL becoming a 787 base in 2020.

I think that by then the 5 remaining 767s will be based out of MIA and fly domestic runs, and maybe one or two routes down to South America but no more TATL flights at that point. It is now obvious that in two years from now neither PHL nor JFK nor ORD nor DFW nor MIA will see any more 767s flying TATL to/from Europe.

Seems they needed some additional test flights, so N341RW departed BFI this evening, 12-30-18, and arrived TUL shortly after 1 am on 12-31-18.

Looks like import A319 N772XF ferried SAL-TUS-GYR on 12/27.

Not an import. It’s an ex F9 plane that was at Aeroman in San Salvador undergoing maintenance.

I am aware that all used frames being brought in are former F9 jets.

That’s just what I happened to use for “second hand”.

On Dec. 30, American Airlines took delivery of another Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft with U.S. Registration Number N341RW (3RW). It’s the last of 16 737 MAX 8s delivered this year and the 20th in the fleet overall. The aircraft is undergoing its acceptance check at Tech Ops – Tulsa.

Question on wifi. Why does Gogo satellite work in Mexico, but Viasat not? This is my first time on an A319 with new Gogo, and it's so nice to have WiFi all flight. My previous trips on 738s lose wifi almost exactly at the border.

With 787s being based at PHL, any chance we'll see a resumption of PHL-TLV on a 787-8 In 2020?
