I'm still not sold on that line of silver on the leading towards the tail. Unless there's a gradient it just looks a little much. Such a good font for the Qantas titles though. So damn good.

Just to clear up this particular aircraft someone had said it was going in for painting earlier in the thread, hence why i changed it to painted, obviously that is incorrect so I will change it later

QF said that entire fleet would be done by the centenary which is late-2021 so I’d say that the ERs will be painted but probably not the older 4 (one of which is being retired this year IIRC).

At some point I would expect the 6 ER frames to be repainted. The other four I would say unlikely, as they are due for retirement before the November 2020 deadline for the repainting to be completed.

Anyone have any updated information on when VH-OEB is having her fleet exit?

I am presuming given all 747s will be out of the fleet by end of 2020, none will be repainted into the new livery. Would expect all to be out by November 2020 to allow for all planes in a single livery for the big 100th Birthday

It’s the same at SYD, which I think is surprising given how prominent the hangars are (especially from T3). The A380 hangar in the middle (217 IIRC?) has new signage but the others all have old faded logos and look rather tatty IMO.

Exterior signage doesnt seem top of QFs priority list - eg. The pre-84 era signage that was on top of the Melbourne terminal until last year
