Interesting - are EBO-EBV fitted with iPads or PTVs?

Will this mean the loss of any seats for EBO-EBV? Or will it remain as 28/243? Are they increasing galley space for longer haul flights?

Read somewhere (I think airlineroute) that these birds are going 27/238 but I could be wrong. I'm pretty sure on C27 seatcount but couldn't remember how many that are losing for Y.

28J/243Y is the standard configure. 27J/238Y are tech and cabin rest facilities activated (curtain).

I dont know how many, as there are various numbers floating around on the interweb. Some suggest as many as 12 Y/C seats will be lost, So maybe the galley/loo increases in J/C will also impact Y/C. Also there will be 4 dedicated cabin crew rest seats in Y/C which will have increased legroom (as per A333 cabin crew rest seats).
So I guess all will be confirmed/revealed when the first 'rejig' enters service...hotly tipped to be -EBS around end June/early July

Does this open these aircraft up for more Asian flying? Combined with the 744 taking over HNL later in the year?

Interesting indeed. I’d say -EBM & -EBN Will kept as back up aircraft for International ops.Flyerqf wrote:Anyone know why OQG has been out of service at SYD for over 3 weeks? Maintenance for this type is done in MNL.
Not sure.
In saying that, VHOQG will be the next A388 heading off to DXB via SIN on 16th of this month.

I’m not familiar- why the lose of those seats? Due to extra galley space for the rear galley? Or a bigger galley at door two, shifting back the business class cabin further rearwards?

Crew rest plus toilet IIRC (stand corrected). I believe Y and C each get an additional toilet.
