United Express Embraer off Runway at BNA

Recieved a text from my girlfriend that apparently a United Express Embraer is off the rwy and in the grass at BNA. Apparently happened on takeoff. Not exactly sure the specific Embraer but would guess it’s an E70.

The flight number referenced in the local news story is a Trans States Airlines flight number. This would mean the aircraft type involved was a Embraer 145.

Flight is reported to be UA 4696 an E145, N18114 to ORD.

Thanks for the correction, I assumed E70 since that is the majority of the EJets I see UA bring in here.

Its a little worse than your description. I only heard about this on the news when they mentioned the Titans were late arriving at PVD because of this. Roads are pretty slick. It's not supposed to get above 20 all weekend, so despite yesterday being warm, there is going to be enough ice to be troublesome.

At least in town, the roads are fine. I just saw a Camaro going up the hill on Broadway by Bridgestone with no trouble.
