New airline start ups

Tue Jan 16, 2018 6:22 pm

Two weird airline start ups.

http://www.flycpair.com flying from Carlsbad, Ca to a handful of nearby destinations. CEO is 96 year old man.

http://www.viaair.com flying most routes from Austin, Tx, but route map is disjointed.

I could be wrong, but their chances of survival are minimal, IMO. Remember Expressjet independent route system? They were much more capitalized than these two, and they didn't last a year.

California Pacific returned their E170 and haven't seen any information about them starting operations.

They recently purchased someone with an AOC. They plan to start flights April 1. *Insert April Fools joke here.*

The "new" CP Air is being discussed here:

As for ViaAir - they had mostly been going after random EAS routes here and there, along with flights in/out of Branson. Their AUS service is new, though.

Leahy will sell them each 300 planes before he retires, to win 2018 order battle

California Pacific bought ADI (Aerodynamics Inc) . Not sure if ADI will continue as it has or not, as there has been little information out there about it. I was wondering if they were going to continue their DEN operation as Great Lakes Jet Express to those EAS cities of Pierre and Watertown.
