Sorry for going a bit off topic. But can you give me links to Icelandic aviation groups. I'd be very interested in checking them out.

Interesting, so after canceling their previous order for a second 753, they finally decided to source one more, and with a new livery.

Icelandair has been looking for used 757-300 with RR engines for a while.

Why not blue?

In space, no one can hear you scream.
On a.net, they just ignore you completely.

Yep, couldn't be more true!

Read up the thread. I posted a couple of times that the normal livery will be applied in KEF according to local sources, it just got lost in the noise.

The aircraft was officially delivered to Icelandair yesterday. Based on the banner hanging in the background, that is indeed the final livery. The only thing that looks to be added in KEF is the vinyl tail logo.

That’s incorrect. Check the belly, it’s clearly the standard blue. The only difference is that it doesn’t extend all the way to the nose due to the different nose design on the 737 vs 757/767, which was known was the plan for the MAX all along.

Unfortunately I think you’re incorrect. The belly looks grey to me. Also, on Icelandairs official Facebook page, a few people have complained about the new livery. They replied saying “the paint will be finalised in Iceland so the tail and logo are not final in the picture. There have been some changes to the livery with the name excluded from the tail and the grey belly. This is done to make the livery lighter and more modern but also to answer some maintenance needs”.
