Given that this IS the fish carrier we are talking about, they should have at least one aircraft painted like a fish--scales, fins and all.

Yeah, I see almost no change except “3D’ing” the tail logo. I think we’re destined to be disappointed.

I’m pleased they’ve added depth to the tail logo, without it the entire design looked cheap but I’m still not sure what the thinking is behind the grey belly, it clashes with the blue and yellow and has little to do with the Icelandair branding.

You mean Alaska's salmon livery? Yeah... seem to vaguely recollect that one. OTOH, nothing prohibits 2 fish planes in the sky--dunno what sort of fish is common in Iceland, but they could try something other than salmon... may be wrong, but I believe cod is particularly iconic in Iceland? Imagine a golden cod livery--think it would look nice.

So yesterday after much delay TF-ICE had it's first commercial flight. The route ended up being KEF-EWR. Airways Live Posted Pictures from the trip including the Iceland logo added to the inside of the winglet. https://twitter.com/airwayslive/status/ ... 8819340288

Can't help thinking if Lufthansa had painted their engine nacelles in 'Lufthansa yellow' and added this stylish grey underbelly, they'd have the new livery fixed.

I couldn't care less what color the belly is; from the terminal windows, you can hardly even see it.
I'm just glad they fixed that tail logo! That was my only concern!

That's true, the grey looks better than if it would just be all white. And with so many companies going with flat logos, it's nice to know that isn't the case here.

I just arrived at EWR and our JetBlue parked alongside TF-ICE and I was wondering if this was the first flight, now it is confirmed. The a/c looked awesome. Just next to it was Lufthansa A350. Beautiful.
