Show some respect ? just as he showed respect to the staff of DL

I've watched the video clip and he is just a loud mouth coming up with all the usual rubbish to cover up for his own mistake in not arriving in time.

If I had been the member of staff taking the abuse, at the point where he clearly declined the opportunity to be rebooked onto the next flight I would have called security to have him escorted off the premises.

Bastian would have to publicly apologize with 30 min to limit damage. A PR meltdown DL can 100% do without.

Buzz will always have the benefit of the doubts over any airline lawyer or their communication lady, regardless of what happened.

Max most of these Snowflakes were not around in 69 and remain clueless about the personal risks these guys took for this country. I did a promotional video with him in the early 90's and found him to be polite, and a gentleman to all this around him. I'm sure most of us have stood in line at some airline at one time or another as I just did at DL as well. Perhaps there is a trend here?

Does anyone find it funny that he has an American flag on his arm? Does he still have his astronaut suit on? It's like Dr. Rumack wearing his stethoscope on the plane in Airplane.

He's nickname was Dr. Rendevous.

Al Bean once spoke of Aldrin saying that at a party, you NEVER brought up shop talk because then you'd be stuck with Buzz talking about rendezvous with you for hours instead of letting you look at the pretty ladies! It was clear where his priorities were.

I think the society should be more respectful to all remaining Apollo astronauts, their dedication and passion let us dream of a better world.

In the past few months, we've lost Gene Cernan, John Young and Dick Gordon, plus John Glenn not too terribly long before that. Only the Apollo 8 and 9 crews remain intact. We should enjoy and treasure them while we can, because before long we won't be able to.

Is this still going on? An old man lost his temper and almost immediately regretted it

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/20 ... usy-opera/

"TMZ later caught up with Mr. Aldrin to ask whether space travel was easier than his experience with Delta.
“No,” the former astronaut said. “Look, my son worked for Delta, I know the people quite well. I don’t want to say things like that.”
He confirmed that he was rebooked on a later flight."

Yet a.net treats it as a three ring circus. Sad, really. I guess none of you people rushing to judgement have ever lost your temper.

Former astronaut Buzz Aldrin, the second person to walk on the moon, was caught on video yelling at Delta Air Lines agents after he reportedly missed his flight at Los Angeles International Airport last week.

“Are you operating an airline here or not? We’ve been sitting here now 20 minutes waiting for somebody to come and fix a two-minute problem… I don’t want the next flight! This is the most lousy operation I’ve ever seen,” he said after asking for the agents’ names.

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/20 ... usy-opera/

I honestly do not care who he is, but I respect the fact that each person is entitled to their own opinion! If he thinks Delta is shit, then allow him to say so without coming for him...because that is what he is experiencing, thus his reality! Does DL run a lousy operation?, I'm sure more than one person thinks so. :-D

I fly over 150,000 miles a year for work and pleasure and none of it is on DL....to me there is just something really off with them, the energy vibration of the company is weird. (I have flown them before) Oh and let me take the opportunity to mention their crappy old 767s. To be fair at this point I dislike all 767s (I think its the air feed) you get off the plane feeling a bit grog, whether in J class or Y. I recently flew an AA 767 from MXP-JFK and last week a JL CGK-NRT...same feeling at the end of each flight. DL and all their 767s that will fly for another 100 years...gawd!! Perhaps Buzz was told he'd be rebooked on a DL 767 and lost it...haha.

Treasure them??? They are not GODS! The idol worship in the US and blindness to reality is what holds us back as a civilization. This filters through everything, especially in aviation.

True Fact: I have received the best airline service on Delta.

True Fact #2: I have received the worst service on Delta.

I can say the exact same thing. In the same trip even. It’s amazing how many variables that go into the service any particular front line employee will give on any particular day. Whether it ever makes the news on the really bad days is how entitled the passenger feels. If I wanted to, I could have earned my own fifteen minutes of fame on two particular occasions. Did I? I didn’t even think to.
Question about Delta: does a gate agent wearing a Delta uniform in San Jose, Costa Rica make the same as a gate agent wearing a Delta uniform in Seattle? I assume the agents, especially in foreign countries are outsourced and would therefore make whatever standard wage is for that job in that country, but I don’t know for sure. Pardon my ignorance.
I am NOT an employee of any airline or manufacturer. I speak for myself, not on the behalf of any company.

I never said that the Apollo, Gemini and Mercury astronauts were gods. You said that. That was your word.

However, we should treasure those who assumed great risk in the cause of exploration. They flew largely untested vehicles, sometimes for the first time. John Glenn's Atlas would fold up onto itself were the volatile fuels inside not also doubling as structural supports. The Apollo 8 crew left Earth's space for the first time in human history, a mission they all volunteered for, despite a one third chance of survival in the eyes of many "in the know," aboard a rocket that had only flown twice, and not too successfully at that. They saved 1968, giving us a glimpse of the moon and our own fragile blue marble, "in the beginning." Neil Armstrong flew combat missions as a nineteen year old. Let that sink in - nineteen - before flying the X-15 and later becoming and astronaut. John Young flew six missions, including the first flight of the space shuttle which was literally it's first flight; the vehicle had never been tested manned, fully fueled. Columbia's maiden flight was literally an all-up test. They all undertook great tasks and endured huge dangers requiring a special type of courage. Yes, they should be treasured and valued for their achievements, in much the same way that we treasure and value Charles Lindbergh, and Louis Bleriot, and Alcock and Brown for their risks and successes. As a species, we must take undertake great tasks, we must accept great risks. They make us stronger. They allow us to grow. And, as such we should remember and value those who willingly accept that in the names of science, or excitement, or simple wanderlust. It is what promotes and betters us us as a civilization. It was what made them great. It is what makes us human.
