TPA and PBI should hopefully re-gain daily service. It would also be nice if they brought back MSY, which originally started off weak but by the time it gained popularity and frequent flyers it had already been axed.
While not too likely, it would be cool to see them add a warm weather destination out west, like PHX or LAS maybe?
If it was up to me, this would be their winter schedule from ISP:
MIA - 4x weekly - A319
MCO - 2x daily - A320
MSY - 3x weekly - A319
PBI - 1x daily - A320
RSW - 1x daily - A320
TPA - 1x daily - A321
And maybe PHX/LAS - 3x weekly - A320

ISP was over-capacity during the fall and winter
Jan-feb
MIA-ISP-73.4%
MCO-ISP-72.6%
MSY-ISP-64.7%
PBI-ISP-83.2%
RSW-ISP-70.1%
TPA-ISP-73.4%
oct-dec
RSW-ISP-71.8%
TPA-ISP-81.7%
PBI-ISP-83.6%
MSY-ISP-71.1%
MIA-ISP-64.3%
MCO-ISP-80.9%
I highly doubt they add more frequencies to ISP over the fall-winter, for an ULCC like F9 ideally LFs on routes should be <85%

Of course NK wouldn't touch IAD, with BWI being located just across the pond and all...

These are better markets for the A321 where the extra capacity would be appreciated, and it’d free up the A319s for routes to smaller cities.

I agree, this is probably what killed most of the ISP flights since many of them were flown on the A321 right off the bat. To add on, I feel like in some cases, their equipment for certain routes is kind of inappropriate.

I tend to agree with this. Frontier ramped up IAD more or less the same time that Spirit left DCA for BWI. Spirit has since grown to be the #2 carrier at BWI, so I think they've done well for themselves. So, my question isn't when Spirit is starting IAD, but when is Frontier returning to BWI? I'm kind of surprised they didn't restart DEN-BWI when Spirit announced it.
I think Frontier doubled down on the wrong airport. Given how many times they have tried to build Dulles, it makes me wonder if they view the airport as a must win.

While we’re on the note of destinations that F9 should return to, why haven’t they returned to BOS either? I heard something a while back about them having beef with the airport authority over gate fees or something like that, but it’s been ~15 years since they’ve left, so what’s stopping them from returning? Also, does anyone know the year that F9 left these two airports, just out of curiosity?

As somebody that lives 20 minutes from ALB, I can really agree we need more LCC and ULCC action here. Many have speculated it was between F9 and NK, as the airport authority has made no secret about wanting additional ULCC air service.
Although I'll admit I was expecting it to be NK, not F9, due to the larger route network. However, F9 is fairly unknown in Upstate New York, and does not have the stigma NK does, so I can see it both ways.

Hopefully Frontier opens up their winter schedule soon, and I'm interested in seeing all the seasonal adds!
Hopefully they're wise this time with their routes/frequencies/aircraft use.

Last year they opened up the late fall/winter schedule about mid July. Granted, that was when they made some drastic scheduling changes and had their huge announcement about new routes. However, the negativity on social media was huge given the delay on getting out the Thanksgiving/Christmas flight schedules. I was hopeful they would get it out a little earlier this year. I guess we will see soon enough.

They still have a huge number of new routes and destinations to evaluate. Bet they're waiting a few more weeks to see what load factors are looking like in their newer markets.

Exactly!! IMO the only route the A321 should be doing out of ISP is ISP-MCO.
What aircraft are they using on their new ALB, BMI, and GSP flights?

I've heard some negative things about the management at MHT though, so it could happen, or it couldn't.

I think RSW is coming along nicely, but SRQ is very interesting. I know it's close to RSW but I think it helps open up Florida to the rest of the country, the eastern seaboard at least.

I was a big supporter of Frontier when they tried PIE for a while, which is certainly close to TPA than SRQ. But it didn't work - or it didn't work then. I'd very much like to see them give it another shot a little further away from TPA.

Honestly, with Allegiant here, I wouldn't be surprised to see F9 come in. Probably not NK though
