How many 319 CEOs are there still left to build?

I'm sure someone here has a better answer, but I looked at Wikipedia, at most 20. After you look at the link,
I'll point out why I think the sum is really one (a single A319CEO).
https://gama.aero/wp-content/uploads/GA ... ForWeb.pdf

However, I believe that number is out of date (too high).

Since zero A319CEO ACJs have been delivered since 2015, I suspect the 2 on that backlog will (have?) be cancelled.
The 2 for B&H, a defunct airline, should be removed.
The 2 for Hamburg international, a defunct airline, should be removed.

Now, Gulf Air's 1, I could see.

11 undisclosed at this time? I just don't see many being delivered.

Sadly, I think the A319CEO is done. It made sense back when engines required far more overhauls for the larger models. Then PIPs cut the fuel burn and maintenance difference. Costs converged which favor the plane carrying more passengers.

Ok, I was fascinated to see how many A320CEO and A321CEO orders would be delivered.
While I found a few that obviously won't be (Kingfisher, leasing companies that never took up one airframe, and probably Virgin America), for the most part, I see a solid backlog.

I'm fascinated with how many undelivered A321CEOs are for US based airlines: AA, DL, B6, and NK. Add LAN in there too.

According to the Airbus Delivery/Order Spreadsheet (http://www.airbus.com/aircraft/market/o ... eries.html) here are the stats for the A319ceo (as of January 2018).

Orders: 1484
Deliveries: 1468
--------------------
Aircrafts still to be Delivered: 16

Yes there is a solid backlog....at least 1/3 of the A320 Family Deliveries in 2018 will be CEO's for sure.

CEO backlog according to the three most recent O&D spreadsheets:
(A319 + A320 + A321 = Total)
D: 17 + 196 + 182 = 395
J: 16 + 190 + 179 = 385
F: 15 + 182 + 169 = 366

(Thank you for the monthly update!)

If I understand this table correct, it means that 35 CEO's have been delivered here in March - a large number!

Anyone knows how many CEO's are destined for delivery this year?

The changes in March were:
A319 - none
A320 - 16 deliveries and 6 cancellations (6 NEOs were ordered, not sure if this was a conversion or not)
A321 - 15 deliveries and 2 orders

One should not forget that there is not only a A320ceo family backlog and deliveries, but also cancellations/upgrades to neo and orders still going on.

This year there have been 6 A320 cancellations and 7 A320 family orders, so plus 1 to the backlog.

The production lines are running quite amazingly !! 35 per month is not a small thing ...

I guess Airbus has used LFBF for extra storage.

Thank you for this interesting thread!
I'm personally quite amazed how both types - CEO and NEO - are produced and delivered in parallel. One would think that there would be a sharp cut a la "eff. date xxx only Neo's", but Airbus succesfully achieves great production rates for both family types.

OTOH, the lifecycle is probably the same so delivered today any Neo customer will have more advantages on longterm (fuel savings, etc.).

Or I might have missed something crucial and am wrong completely. ;)

Well there are still over 300 CEO's to be Delivered. It would make sense for Airbus to continue as usual with them until they become a rarity (similar to when the Sharklets were introduced).

Airbus got an UFO for 5 A319ceo and 22 A319neo. I'm guessing a Chinese, or possibly South American, operator for hot & high operations.

The A319 isn't as dead as one might think. Airbus is still busy making sure the A319neo gets all certification.

I like this thread. Thank you, OP.

Pretty surprised Airbus still has 321 A320ceo family members to be churned out. Are they still seeking big blockbuster order for the "ceo" family?

I would not say blockbuster orders, but more like the recent LH order of 6 CEO's based on availability.

There is loads of ceo's still on order. We're manufacturing around 4 every week roughly at present. In fact, very recently there was a set of wings manufactured which had the old wingtip fences fitted instead of sharklets.

There is no difference in the wings. All wings that roll off the line since circa 2013 are capable of being fitted with sharklets even if the wingtip fences have been fitted iirc.

Yes indeed. 146 of it, what is the production rate for A320 line now? 321 can easily take two to three months to clear if no Neo is being produced at the same time.

Yes, like the B77W these days, we have small order trickling in, especially for airline who needs extra capacity but willing to spend a bit on new aircraft instead of used aircraft. AirAsia is another example. They are adding used CEO and taking new CEO and NEO delivery at the same time.

Yeah, thats not happening. The NEO aircrafts are the priority for the foreseeable future. Everything else is going to be produced simultaneously on the side. We will see CEO assembly for a few years to come.

May CEO backlog update:
(A319 + A320 + A321 = Total)
Dec: 17 + 196 + 182 = 395
Jan: 16 + 190 + 179 = 385
Feb: 15 + 182 + 169 = 366
Mar: 15 + 160 + 156 = 331
Apr: 20 + 155 + 146 = 321
May: 20 + 150 + 135 = 305

May changes:
A319: No change
A320: 3 orders, 8 deliveries
A321: 11 deliveries

Thank you. I'm very facinated by the burn down in A32xCEO backlog.

I speculate some of that backlog will not be delivered, but I do not have a good estimate. What I know is Allegiant keeps saying they won't buy more new, and then they do, so the offers obviously are improving (from the airline side).

Interesting is that the A321 is rolling out the fastest. I thing the main consideration at Airbus in the moment is who wants to get their ceo now. We also see that A320ceo are still ordered.

mjoelner,
It is who wants. Some fraction of those orders Airbus is going to have to impose delivery per contract terms. It is most likely that A321s are being delivered willingly. Probably less so with A320s and unlikely with commercial A319s.

What stuck me is the 14 per month delivery rate. With 18+ months left to deliver and slowing CEO production, that rate is 250 ish CEOs to go.

In the industry, one should assume 20% of orders are ghoast orders (not really firm), so Airbus is on a good track.
