I was supposed to be on that flight to Vancouver. They announced that the engine was damaged by a bird strike and had to cancel the flight. They were flying in mechanics from or via Seattle the next day. When I came back from Vancouver yesterday the plane was still parked at HNL.

They flew in a B772 from Hawaii this morning as AC 2134. AC34 is the SYD to YVR and I'm wondering if they scheduled a stop on the Australian flight or this was a dedicated flight.
