I hope this is not out of place on this forum but to me it is aviation. If you ever watched Space Shuttle launches you probably thought nothing would ever top that but today’s launch was something to behold. This is the rocket which may someday take men (and women) to the moon once again and also possibly to MARS.

The rocket itself was claimed to have the propulsion of 18 747’s. It fired off flawlessly with incredible brightness and noise and both booster rockets separated at 2 minutes into the flight. Impressively, the two boosters… both reusable, returned to earth as planned and slowly landed vertically on their tails (side by side) back at Cape Canaveral and at the same time! You’d have thought you were watching a science fiction movie.

Congrats to Elon Musk and all involved. Best place to start the video is about 35 mins in:

There is already a very long (and very interesting!) thread in the space/military section of this board. Everybody’s welcome to join the discussion over there.
