WN could add nonstop service to MCO from CVG and LAX, and WN could bring back CLT-MCO nonstop service.

Even though WN does have an opportunity to add nonstop service to MCO from SEA and PDX, WN is unlikely to add nonstop service to MCO from SEA and PDX anytime soon with SEA and PDX being so far from MCO.

If WN is able to get extra slots at LGA, WN could add LGA-MCO nonstop service.

WN also has opportunities to possibly add nonstop service to MCO from DSM, ELP, LIT, TUS, and ICT.

BNA has a press conference stage setup next to the WN ticket counter.

I'm going to guess that it will entail some international destinations. According to the route map they only serve CUN from BNA.

Good to see BNA probably getting something. I know it had been a few extensions since they got anything. Maybe SMF/SJC since they didn't get them on the last go around when others did? PDX also makes sense. I am a little surprised they wouldn't have just added PDX on the last schedule though if that was going to be it. Maybe they needed more planes first.

While most of WN's nonstop service out of ATL is to destinations formerly served by FL, WN could add nonstop service from ATL to ABQ, SMF, and SJC.

BNA is hosting its employee rally tomorrow at the Grand Ole Opry. So its possible to hear some good news about destinations coming out of BNA.

I wonder if the long rumored BNA crew base is going to be part of the Big Announcement.

I figure it's significant if it calls for a press conference.

For some reason with WN service, they tease it just before the press conference. I remember they put something on Facebook like an hour before they did the press conference for MKE and CUN.

That’s a definite possibility. That kind of news is exactly what WN would announce at a large employee event like the SWA Rally at the Grand Ole Opry.

My friend who's in an SWA employee only Facebook group says there is indeed a big announcement in Nashville tomorrow.

Well was CUN was WN's first BNA international destination.

But it wasn't like it was a new destination for the airport, they already had CUN service on other airlines. Other airports didn't have press conference when they got CUN on WN. I think BNA is getting new routes for sure if they have a stage set up, but it could just be a couple adds since they haven't had any in a while. Every airport handles it differently though, you know BNA better than me. I don't know how they have handled adds before except the last one. Some airports have conferences for everything and some only have them for new carriers.

If it was some REALLY significant (crew base, big expansion), I think there would be a notice out already to media about it and chatter on social media. I guess it just depends on your definition of significant. I admit I could obviously could be way off base, just my feelings. We will find out tomorrow!

No, that's definitely NOT a possibility. Never in the history of SWA have they ever announced anything as "insignificant" as a new crew base at at Rally. To think so, overestimates our value as crew members. This is all about "Rally".

A new crew base matters to an insignificantly small percentage of those attending. In fact, I'd submit that most there have no idea what it even means.

MCI-RDU ran for a few years in the early 2000s. Essentially connected rdu with sjc via mci. Glad to see it back!

Looks like MKE-SFO and MKE-SAN are only to be run during the summer peak, but MKE-SEA continues in the new fall schedule. As things stand this fall MIlwaukee will have three mainline nonstops daily to SEA on AS, DL and WN with 452 seats but to the entire state of California...one 143-seat flight to LAX. Maddening.

Bdl-stl is huge. First new year round addition since DEN! Also an -800 out and -700 in, interesting.

It'll be a bloodbath for a while, but it's really something WN should fly given the size of their operations in both BNA and ATL. I have doubts the 5x will last, I suspect they'll trim down to 3-4x daily, but that should be enough to cater to loyal WN fliers in each city, plus a few connecting passengers as well.

According to SWA’s website, WN is at around 122 daily flights as of January 18th from TPA. That is unreal, since I always thought WN was at around 80ish departures on average from TPA.

Looks like they timed it for the west coast bank outbound. Arrives in STL at 12:45 and the bank that goes to almost every west coast destination (that is served from STL) starts leaving around 1:40.

Fairly sure it is all there. I've rarely had an experience where it is changed later in the day.

surely its still the fact that they got a bunch of DCA gates and more people would rather fly to DCA. Even when I was traveling to Reston, it was quicker to use DCA outside the rush by the time you deal with car rental return & security at IAD

OMA-LAX continues through this extension as daily. It’s operated summer seasonal for past 3 years maybe? I wonder if this means it is going year-round?
