I still don't understand why some folks on here thought DAL, HOU or even year-round PHX would come before DEN. WN is pretty predictable about how they roll out new stations.

And 5x daily is over 700 seats! There must have been a huge push from the business community for this one.

RIC, IND, and GSP.

RIC, IND, and GSP.
and PUJ, PBI (not sure if they are seasonal though)

On the flip side, BNA serves PNS, ECP, CLT, and CHS.

Excited to hear about the LAX addition.

WN also has nonstop service to SEA from BNA, but not from ATL.

These lists demonstrate, I think, that the connections on BNA-ATL are or will be more about additional options in existing markets than about new markets, although there BNA-PBI isn't easy now so there are a few "new market" benefits. It's a tremendous number of seats to fill; it will be interesting to see how or whether DL responds. DL does not make a serious play for BNA-ATL O&D today with roundtrip prices routinely over $1,000.

Those people flying BNA-ATL on DL are definitely connecting.

Yeah with it being a ~3:45 drive, it's not worth it to fly most of the time if you live in either city.

. . . if it were a 3:45 drive. But generally it isn't. For some folks, the barrier to flying BNA-ATL today is price. For Murfreesboro-Alpharetta, flying makes no sense regardless of the price. But downtown to downtown is a different story, especially with MARTA a viable option in Atlanta.

5x daily at that.

MCI-RDU ran for a few years in the early 2000s. Essentially connected rdu with sjc via mci. Glad to see it back!

I dont beleive that is qute right about WN on MCI-RDU. The only service NS MCI-RDU was Midwest Express, then Express Jet solo branding and also American Eagle. Recently Frontier just announced and now WN

YX served it as well. I can confirm it was operational as I used to take it during my days in college to visit my parents in Raleigh.

Exactly. This is all about connections AND network connectivity. It allows for additional options at both stations for handling misconnects. Like others have said, it'll also break DL's monopoly and drive down their ridiculous fares, which will easily at least double O&D demand on the city pair.
