The 28th - new livery reveal or something else like more route additions?

I doubt it. Summer schedule was already announced and GS said, recently, the '87 routes would probably be announced in the summer with the winter sked. From what I've seen it will be livery...
A complete rebrand would be nice, but at least getting rid of the Eurowhite fuselage would be good.

ACCS300 wrote:They could remove the 'west jet.com' from the winglets too, I think we all know how to google WestJet. Most airlines have ditched slapping their URL's on their planes, it's not 2002.

Made no sense to me either until I realized that it was a snow capped mountain under the kind of evening sky we get in the prairies in the summer. Then it made a lot more sense, to the point where I like it.

The NHL seemed to have teal everywhere. In the 90s. Then it went where it belongs the garbage heap. Teal? Really?

It took me about 16 years for me to figure that out. Bad livery, IMO.

If you were to turn the tail on its side, you would also notice that the delta actually forms a "W"...and it works on both sides. THAT is a bit of brilliant marketing, regardless of colours...
ACCS300 wrote:I have a feeling the identity / branding / livery was probably conceived and implemented quickly and cheaply based on a couple of used 737-200's crossing the rockies in 1996. Had they known they'd eventually evolve into basically the new Canadi>n, I have a feeling far more time and effort would have been spent on the branding. Perhaps now we'll see a livery which reflects what's become Canada's second flag carrier.

Even something like CanadianJet, so that it keeps a certain element of "WestJet", would be good.
beechnut wrote:And hopefully a new name too. "WestJet" sounds far too regional, and has its roots in its founding as a smallish west-based carrier. With the global reach of the 789s, I don't feel it's an appropriate name any longer.

Besides the San Jose Sharks and the Anaheim Mighty Ducks, what other NHL teams had teal in the 90s?
Hartford Whalers had "green" not teal.

Just FYI he's our Prime Minister not President, yes Justin is great, polar opposites to the creep south of the border.
