Wow! I’ve just seen a C-46 flying at low level over downtown Miami today just after 12:00.
Does anyone know the ID of this bird or where it was going?

No help with the registration but we do have them frequent NAS from South Florida doing cargo runs.

I'm from Miami, I know exactly the plane you're talking about. Flew over my house every afternoon on the way to the Bahamas. I believe it's for cargo or a charter experience, but I can't believe it's still flying so many years later!!

I work for Everts Air Cargo in Fairbanks, Alaska. We still have 4 of them flying... oldest one was built in 1942 - making it 86 years old

Trouble is, Opa-Locka to the Bahamas won't fly over downtown Miami; maybe North Miami Beach or Bal Harbour.

We have had posters discussing Convairs, others discussing cargo operations in Alaska when the OP obviously started the thread as he saw the unmistakable C-46 flying over downtown Miami!
As far as I can read no one has been able to confirm what the OP is actually asking and as is usually the case here on a.net we have thread drift occurring.

I saw Tinker Bell a couple of years ago on display at PDK. That is a wonderful looking aircraft. That crew has done an amazing job with her.

I've had a look at FR24 and the only aircraft that I can't identify that flew over Miami around that time is "TMS2", altitude 900ft initially, but listed as low as 400ft while over urban area, heading South to North. Tracking stops when the aircraft is over Coral Terrace. Speed was 155, but then slowed to 90kt as it approached Miami. I'm thinking it arrived at MIA or OPF. Tracking started just left of Totten Key. It has to be that one?
