I don't know about the code sharing, but it should be the way to do it....there could be connecting passengers coming from Beirut going to LATAM , the US, Europe or Spain...
Air Europa obviously is not IBERIA and it doesn't have such a big network as IBERIA does, but still Air Europa is building a decent network out its main hub, MAD.
I think code sharing may help to build the strength of the route .

That makes sense then. They can’t feed on their end with arrival past 8pm to BEY they miss connections to most of their flights in the near east.. and departure at 9 am to MAD too early to benefit from their morning bank of near east flight arrivals into BEY

Would love to see BEY-AMS on MEA. AMS remains a major hole in BEY's network.

AF/KLM would probably push back against MEA at AMS as they decided to funnel all traffic through CDG.

And they serve BRU. I think that there is more O/D traffic to/from BRU than AMS. Flights to BRU are often full.
