2 AA MD80s Back to Back at MKE 14March

Wed Mar 14, 2018 3:10 pm

Was at the observation lot at MKE about 10am this morning and witnessed an AA MD80 departure. No sooner had that jet lifted off than a second one rounded the end of the concourse and also took off. Twofer! But why??

Both are going to DFW. Last nights flight 2682 was delayed until this morning. Today's 2760 departed on time.

Thanks. Would love to know the story behind the delay. One would assume MX due to aircraft age. But I love those old birds!

I just flew on an AA S-80 to MKE on Sunday. That poor plane's interior has been completely neglected, completely filthy carpets, walls, torn seats, etc.

They've been that way for several years now, unfortunately. Even as an AA EXP, I do my damndest to avoid those things...the maintenance delays are painful sometimes. But I do admit there's nothing better than sitting in F class and being as far away from the jets as humanely possible...I'll miss that.
