United Tech and Rockwell Collins are inching toward an accord for the biggest-ever merger in the aerospace industry, with Boeing withdrawing its objection. https://news.alphastreet.com/boeing-end ... mega-deal/

Good to hear, that probably took a few conversations between CEOs. Wonder what concessions were made?

Speaking of Collins, http://www.thegazette.com/subject/news/business/norwegian-air-honors-rockwell-collins-founder-20180309

Interesting. TFA says:

On Sept. 22, 1933, with eight employees and $29,000 in capital, Collins Radio was incorporated.

After facing financial difficulties, the company was sold to Rockwell International in 1973 and renamed Rockwell Collins.

Rockwell shareholders recently approved the $23 billion purchase of the company by United Technologies Corp.

I remember them when they were making (excellent) ham radio equipment.

Glad to see them prosper.
