BA269 returning to LHR.

Tue Apr 24, 2018 10:29 pm

Just heard something low over my house which is unusual at 23.00 so looked it up on FR24 and it was the BA 269 (XLEG) heading back to LHR.
She managed to get out to the early stage of the Atlantic stretch before heading back.
Anyone know what the problem was?

Hmm, BA and their problem A380 children! hehe Was it XLEG that was acting up in JNB a few weeks back?

I was in a lounge at LAX TBIT last week and photographed XLEG. I do not trust BA to offer a good hard or soft product in F and J....but I trust their maintenance.

A relative of mine is on board and called us to say it had to do with toilets/water issues

The flight was also 2 hours late from LHR. I guess that delay had to do with the same water issue that forced them to return.

What happened to this flight in the end? Presumbly cancelled.

FR24 seems to think the 269 was operated by XLEB, but that's not possible as XLEB is almost home again after operating the earlier LAX service.

Cor!
Did they have to wait for the next available 380?
