You can add all the Russian airlines to the list, since SU cancelled their order. Plus IB/TP/AZ/SA/9W.

Doesn’t matter really. By the time Boeing finishes with its current backlog all we ll see when we look up is a sea of 787’s criss crossing the globe
Thanks and best Regards

Swiss, Austrian, Brussels, Alitalia.

Anyone knows anything about Malaysia Airlines? I know there have been some news about them buying some Dreamliners, but neither on Wikipedia, nor on Boeing's customer list MH is listed to have any on order.

MH has a MOU for 8 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners

WN :duck:

No seriously, I don't believe CI has ever ordered any 787s.

It is interesting that of all of the airlines in the Middle East, from TK and MS (both of which are buying 787s) to the Indian subcontinent, the vast majority of carriers have ordered or are operating the 787. Those which don't are MEA (though still considering it), KU, IR (which didnt include the 787 in its shopping list from Boeing, although it's probably academic now) and PK.

Not sure what the positon is with Jet Airways' order; still going ahead.

European potential 787 airlines not ordering 787: LX, LH, OS, AZ, IB, EW, SK, AY, EI, TP, SU, SN
Africa & Middle East: MS, MK, DT, TU, SA, MD, IR, KU
Central Asia: UL, UK, PK
East Asia / Pacific: GA, PR, D7, XJ, CX, MU, CI, OZ, 5J, FJ, VA, FM, HX, 3U, GS,
Americas: DL, AR, AD

So that's about 40 off the top of my head who have aircraft in this capacity or are planning to and haven't yet announced an order for 787. Some of these airlines are quite large (well over 100 aircraft) and flag carriers. Yes it's interesting the uptake in India and the Middle East although 9W order looks to me to be in doubt. Will be interesting. Equally, Air Asia group and MH.

Yes very true, same can be said of the A350 too. Isn`t it great to have competition to concentrate minds into
producing incredible products. The airlines & the travelling public benefit from it greatly.

Both MU and FM will have 789's this year. The first 789 for MU has just rolled out of final assembly in the past day or so.

MS will be taking 789's from next year

If this discussion was opened last year AA would be at the top - after ordering the A350 an 787 order seemed unlikely.

The sudden 787 announcement and A350 cancellation on April 6 was quite a surprise.

I hope that IB being a member of AIG could use the 787 for some high n hot airports in South America where the 350 is too big.. like in Bolivia, or second cities in Peru, Colombia....I know it’s difficult more a dream than reality

No it wouldn’t, AA is already a 787 operator with around 35 already in service

IB is all-Airbus and I doubt that will change...

Skybus was never a major.
The plural of Airbus is Airbuses. Airbii is not a word.
There is no 787-800, nor 787-900 or 747-800. It's 787-8, 787-9, and 747-8.
A321neoLR is also unnecessary. It's simply A321LR.
Airplanes don't have isles, they have aisles.
