With A35Ks coming and A359s still flying for QR, what are the odds this goes A350 eventually, even if just due to slack in the fleet? They're def keeping the 763s busy.

Honestly, I would be surprised at this point if the first A35Ks even got LA paint fresh out of TLS. Their last two A359s have been painted directly into another carrier's scheme, as they're subleasing the frames (I think it's to Tianjin Airlines?).

Great to see this expansion for LATAM and for Brazil in general. It's a massive market, if challenged during the past few years.

Hopefully this growth will continue.

Actually LA didn't sublease these frames. They transfered those slots - 226 & 245 - to get a later delivery, they even said these aircrafts weren't supposed to be delivered by the time they were ready. Clever move, in my point of view. JJ received its 8th A359 (PR-XTH) in the beggining of april and had been stored in CNF for more than a month, and just starded revenue flights 3 days ago.
I trully doubt it they'll give up on A35K orders. As sad as it is, they'll replace their 9 77W with these A35K by 2022 for sure.

Reaction to AV?

perhaps, but they're not really competing since LAN doesnt operate those kind of flights via BOG

But keep in mind that some of the 763s needed for this expansion will be CC- registered so they are in addition to the PT- ones LATAM BR has in the fleet.
Keep calm and wash your hands.
