Who may have ordered the A330neo tho?

My first and best guess would be Delta

My guess would be IndiGo. They might want to remain unidentified because of recent stress in operating margins and profits.

Though it's very unlikely that they will order 2 a/c types.

Just for clarification, the A330neo order and the A350 order are separate orders.

The A350 is for a new customer, Airbus doesn't mention the same for the A330neo order, so it looks like it's a top-up order by an existing customer.

Air Asia X boss has been tweeting that he wanted some more A330's; so it might be them.

I would have said Indigo too, but as it has been mentioned that they would have ordered at least 20 to 30 A330neos. But well I hope we get an announcement from Airbus or Indigo soon regarding some WB for Indigo.

He just met them like 1 or 2 days ago, I don't think AirAsia X will just rush straight into it as Tony mentioned that the price, aircraft performances must be matching with each other then they might get more. So I think they may need more time to discuss tho

Yes. The A350 is a new customer to A350.

A330neo is the -900 and a current customer. Possibly Delta or TAP.

The situation at LIS is very dire right now. The airport is bursting at the seems. IMO TP's future growth has to come from fragmentation and spreading connections over other times of the day and expanding OPO. That's one of the reasons why they want A321LRs for TATL routes.

That´s the exact wording at Airbus:

Turkish Airlines booked 25 A350 XWBs in the A350-900 version, and 10 A350-900s were ordered by an undisclosed client. Both are new customers for the A350 XWB.

Two A330 transactions were logged in June: one involving 10 new engine option (NEO) A330-900s for an undisclosed customer; the other for two A330-200s acquired by International Airlines Group (IAG).

It only mentions that the 10 A330-900neo are for an undisclosed customer, but doesn´t state it´s a current or a new one. It might as well be a new one, just not being pointed out as with the A350-900s. We simply need to wait until the order is disclosed, which I think will likely happen at Farnborough already.

Delta has 10 350s on order right now that they can't figure out what to do with, can't see them adding another 10 to that any time soon

On top of all that, Delta has been very public about issuing a RFP for airplanes. 20 widebodies without a little public negotiation seems very unlike Delta. 10 321s or 10 739s? Okay but can't see it for the widebodies

Why should this be an airline which usually disclose their orders already in LOI/MoU state to use the publicity. I guess 90% of all undisclosed orders are Chinese ones, so I see no reason that this one is not another one from China.

The Airbus presser already said the 10 x A350 were for a new customer for the type.

I sure hope so! however according to our CEO, this year the fleet decision will be regarding a replacement for AU's Embraers, before years end. Widebody fleet renewal will be decided around Q2 2019.

If engine manufacturer is not an issue (like many users have said to me here) then I really hope A350 is the plane to win the order.

Cathay Pacific for the A350s and Cathay Dragon for the A330neos?

China Eastern has some fairly old A330ceos, so they could be a likely candidate for neos.

Could the 10 A330neos be the replacement order from MEA, or is 10 planes too many for them?

Asiana also has some old A330ceos and i expect them to replace the fleet with neos at some point.

Not related to this, but at some point i expect LH to replace Swiss's A330-300s with A330-900s and shift most of the -300s to Austrian and Brussels.

The A339 order is a "top-up" order. So not Amadeo since they are not a current customer of the type. Maybe for the A350 (since it's a new customer) though.
