SQ: 10x SIN-LAX direct, additional 3x ULR to SFO, ICN-LAX gone

Thu Jul 12, 2018 3:30 am

Apologise if anyone posted as I didn't see any and thought this deserves its dedicated thread.

According to Airlineroute, SQ's gradually going 10x weekly non-stop on SIN-LAX:
Initially service commences on 02NOV18 with 4 weekly flights (SQ038/037), increasing to 7 weekly from 12NOV18, 10 weekly from 07DEC18 (SQ036/035).

Planned schedule from 12NOV18 as follows.

SQ036 SIN0820 – 0730LAX 359 357
SQ038 SIN2045 – 1955LAX 359 D

SQ035 LAX0915 – 1905+1SIN 359 357
SQ037 LAX2225 – 0815+2SIN 359 D

SQ8/7's ICN-LAX is gone from 1 Dec:
From 01DEC18, the airline will cancel Singapore – Seoul Incheon – Los Angeles route. Singapore – Seoul Incheon will be kept at 4 daily level as SQ008/007 replaced by SQ612/611.

SQ612 SIN0230 – 0950ICN 77W D
SQ611 ICN1240 – 1825SIN 77W D

And there's additional 3x weekly on ULR for SFO:
Additionally, the Star Alliance member will expand nonstop Singapore – San Francisco service from 7 to 10 weekly from 28NOV18. The new SQ034/033 will be operated by A350-900ULR, while existing SQ032/031 continues with A350-900XWB.

SQ032 SIN0920 – 0750SFO 359 D
SQ034 SIN1520 – 1350SFO 359 357

SQ031 SFO0930 – 1905+1SIN 359 D
SQ033 SFO2010 – 0540+2SIN 359 357

Thought it was an interesting development as this basically consumes 6 of the 7 ULRs on order already, leaving little room for any further expansions to other destinations as previously hinted.

Technically it is 10 weekly LAX, 7 weekly EWR, and 3 weekly SFO with the A350-900ULR. The current daily SIN-SFO does not seem to be upgraded. So there is room for 1 more route.

And glad to see SQ return to operating 3 flights a day at LAX on certain days. At their absolute peak, they had daily A380 SIN-NRT-LAX, daily 777-300ER SIN-TPE-LAX, and daily A340-500 SIN-LAX.
