Indeed.
Much though I love aviation, there is also a (slight) irony in promoting coral reef conversation through flying, when the warming of the oceans is the single biggest cause of coral death. Alas.

Or, for deforestation:
"Eat a beaver, save a tree".

"Eat a beaver"?!

As this bird will probably serve several operators, it is neutral (can`t see any reference to HiFly) without being boring-white. I think it would feel strange for me boarding a white plane. This is different. It`s operator-neutral, could be made look nice and it`s for a good cause which everybody can identify with too.
Pretty clever marketing.

I've seen a couple of pics from the front (check AeroNews Facebook page), there is a big HiFly logo on the forward fuselage, it's just blocked by the engines in the above pics.

Polot wrote:So from pictures from Farnborough the other side of the plane (including the engines) is actually painted a darker shade of blue, and all the coral is white/grey (re: dead) and the fish are now just skeletons. The sad part is it looks far better than the pictured alive side. The wave at the front of the color part (blocked by wing/engines in OP photo) is nicely done though.

Maybe there's a subliminal message in it...like "Save the Whale"?

You beat me to it, I was scrolling thru the tread looking for a Save the Whales post.

I think it is too close for comfort to ANA's fantastic A380 turtles. A bit like a poor copy before the original is released.
