Help identifying plane in video

Sun Jul 22, 2018 11:51 pm

I usually consider my aircraft recognition skills to be pretty good (annoyingly good for my non-avgeek friends), but this one has me stumped. In this video you can see a small twin-engine high wing aircraft appear 5:38-5:48, between the American Eagle Shorts 360 and US Air 737. The link below will start the video several seconds before it appears.

(This is a pretty neat video anyways that I'm sure most of you will enjoy, taking you back to a time when between 727 and DC-8 flights you could meet a friend in the airport who passed through security without having a ticket).

It looks like a GA plane and not an airliner to me. My first though was a Tecnam P2006, but since the video is from 1990 that's impossible. Thanks for any help.

You are correct Sir! That is what it is...GA aircraft that first flew in 1970.

I just passed one a couple of days ago along the road at Boise. Looked a bit aged but otherwise ok. Not a lot of those around....
Riddle: Which lasts longer, a start-up airline or a start-up football league?

Loved seeing the Shorts, would be fun if they brought it back with a NextGen model.
Keep on truckin'...
