WN Summer Departures

Wed Aug 01, 2018 4:31 pm

So I was looking through their fact sheet and noticed WN's busiest and largest stations in terms of number of flights and destinations.

https://www.swamedia.com/pages/corporate-fact-sheet

Here's the link, but I thought it was very interesting to see how DEN used to be at around 170 flights per day not too long ago and is now at 200 +. ATL and STL are almost the same now in terms of number of flights, which is amazing considering ATL used to be a 200+ flights a day city during the AirTrain days.

Also, FLL is now busier than TPA. Not by much but I remember TPA used to have 20-30 more flights a day comparted to FLL.

Not sure about that. While they are closer in size now that FLL is a connecting point to the south, TPA remains more O&D focused and thus seasonal. The fact sheets compare what has been loaded from the vantage of June. We need to see a year-round portrait to compare what are fundamentally different operations. They're increasingly close in size, however, yes.

126 daily departures this summer, so it's right there with ATL and LAX.

Wikipedia also has them in list form based on the fact sheets.

The title is is misleading as the list is based on March departures, not summer separtures.
