Looks like EWR will be home to the 787-10. Plans are being finalized for a crew base.

As expected, given the range and capacity of that aircraft.

To pabloeing, EWR-MAD seems like a fair bet, although maybe not right away during the slower winter season (763 or 764 might be better suited until the summer high season). I could also see EWR-EZE (winter), EWR-DUB, EWR-BCN, and EWR-FCO (summer) being good 78J routes. Maybe EWR-CDG, EWR-BRU, EWR-MUC, or EWR-MXP too, although I'd expect those routes to be a bit more premium-heavy and the 78J might or might not be a better fit than a 772.

What about EWR-AMS? Is that a premium-heavy route?

Old news. Was discussed on the UA Fleet thread few months ago when they announced EWR 787 crew base
