Multiple flights Same flight number

Mon Aug 13, 2018 2:30 am

Sorry if this has already been discussed.

I was looking at Turkish airline flights on flightradar24 and noticed that there are currently three flights between Moscow Vnukovo Airport and Antalya. At first I thought it was a mistake but all the aircraft have different registrations, and there are two different aircraft types.

It's definitely unusual for an flight number to be used on more than one aircraft at the same time. Why would Turkish do this if they could have easily had different flight numbers or just added a number to the end of them?

The flight's TK212

Yeah but it doesn't seem like a mistake from flightradar24 as there was three different aircraft flying the route leaving at roughly the same time. Is it possible that they just sell a bunch of tickets and put extra aircraft on the route seems weird but flightradar24 also says there were two TK212s yesterday.

I've been noticing some mistakes on FR24 over the last couple of weeks. Last Friday (Aug 10), I spotted Air Transat's A310 C-GTSH flying from YYZ-VCE at 36,000 somewhere over Algonquin Park, and there is no way that it was there because when I spotted it, that airplane was in the hangar getting 2 tires changed...

Only 1 has arrival departure details operated by TC-LOH.

There is a 777-31H registered 9M-FSL that is popping up as A332 9M-MTW for MH, I’m not sure if 9M-FSL actually exists or not?
