Air China 777-300ERs

Mon Sep 10, 2018 12:28 pm

According to Boeing Orders & Deliveries page, CA has ordered 27 777-300ERs:

http://www.boeing.com/commercial/#/orders-deliveries

And yet, they have recently taken the delivery of their 28th (B-1282):

Of course, it may be that it is a leased bird and as such it does not appear on Boeing's site as an Air China plane, but then why the 4 others that are leased (B-2047, B-7952, B-7869 and B-7973) do?

The Boeing Information is up to July 2018. The last was delivered on August B1282. It is possible that Boeing website had a glitch between 'delivered' and 'unfilled' number count. Basically in July the total delivery is 27 and 1 unfilled. But somehow the 1 unfilled was miscounted as Boeing is already consider the undelivered as 'un-unfilled'. Yet they have not put that one undelivered B777-300ER as 'deliveries'...

That's possible, but then when was this 28th 77W ordered? Boeing lists following orders:

14-Nov-2007 15
17-Sep-2010 4
21-Dec-2013 1
07-Jan-2016 6
19-Oct-2017 1

Out of these, the last one was delivered in May 2018. When did they order an additional one?

2017 Air China announced an order for 2 aircrafts of B777-300ER, not 1.

Translation: Air China's 2017 Group Financial Statement indicates that 2 more B777-300ER are ordered at the market price of USD$625,000,000. Judging by the average performance stats in the group, together with the proposed routes, cabin layout and future market variation, the forecasted RPASM would be RMBY0.29. ...Air China Group Financial Statement states that 2 more B777-300ER would join the fleet in 2018.
