FAA Announces $40.9M for New Tower at GSO

I wonder how close the rendering is to what will actually be built

In other GSO news...
Rumor is that F9 will not return next Spring from DEN.. effectively ending almost 6 years of service to the Triad.
AAdmirals Club is reportedly closing this month.
Any insight on how NK is doing here?
Still waiting on UA to IAH as well!

Kind of sad the AAdmirals club is closing. I always thought it was unique that GSO maintained that. I guess it just wasn’t financially feasible with the size of the station there. I guess F9 is just focusing on RDU. I was worried about GSO for F9 when it got seasonally suspended in August when so many other markets that were previously seasonal got extended to year round. I’m quite hopeful that NK will thrive in the market but haven’t heard anything on how it is doing.

Anyone have the list of where COLite flew from GSO in the 1990s?

Just as a reminder, the intent of this thread (at least based on the title) is to discuss the new FAA tower and TRACON at GSO. To discuss general GSO goings-on, I would recommend starting a running GSO thread.
