So I flew on tail 605 today and it currently does not have the red seat as the old version did. That doesn’t mean they won’t add it later on as it might be a special order.

Thank You. How about 516? It’s been in LCQ for a couple weeks now.

Is there anybody in LCQ to take a picture of the galley of 768, for the tartan tail? I think. they allow photography.

Thanks Again!

I've been hearing rumblings of planes coming out of LCQ with insanely problematic QA issues with the new cabins, to the point the aircraft could not complete revenue service. Seat issues, lavatory issues, leaks into aft avionics bay... Anyone have details?

N516 is not due to receive the mod, so it's in LCQ for some other reason.

flew 2 different birds and so was hoping to see the new interior but alas it wasn't to be. Although that comment above is concerning about the quality of work :/

The OB aircraft still felt nice after all these years, yes the TVs are so small and old school now but I slept like a baby in 5C. Now the return was the all dark blue solute to the troops (yellow ribbon on tail), and it was really showing its age. Probably 90% of the TV's just straight up didn't work. Flight attendants just said, if you get one that works, lucky you!

That is sad, and B6 mgmt. should be ashamed they waited so long on this...could've been done and competing dollar for dollar with DL, but instead it will be what 2 more years until they are all done.
I haven't been everywhere, but it's on my list!

Yeah it is sad how B6’s management let these planes get so bad for so long and in your case you were already on one of the “newer” 7 series with updated TVs and most already don’t work. Good news is that particular plane is now on the list to get refitted so hopefully we see it go in soon! Management does keep saying they have new plans in place to address TV issue more quickly and to make sure they work reliably so fingers crossed that’s true.

I fly from Boston to Fort Myers at least twice a year and have flown 2 Phase 1 birds. Apparently, starting February 2020, they are using A321 CEOs as their main aircraft. They only will now use one 320 to fly down in the evening, and back up to BOS at 6am. Sometimes they’d use a couple e190s. Will this be forever? I am looking forward to flying Phase 2’s thinking I would get to fly some A220s (and/or possibly NEO’s) when they come out, because they fly some e190s on that route. I am guessing they are now using A321s because of the higher capacity. I would doubt they’d use NEO’s, because they need to cover service for GYE. Will they ever update the Ceo’s (9xx tails) to phase 2?

Thanks!

They don't need that many aiframes for gye. I think there is pretty good chance for both a321neo and phase 2 a320 here. I would say e90 probably won't happen anymore.

JFK is not going to get all the neos.

How about A220? They hold 140, 40 more than the e190. Would they ever upgrade the A321Ceo fleet to the Phase 2 product?

Thanks again!

I think it's more likely the earliest A220 go to the really competitive business routes that are a little long for E90 like BOS-ATL/MSP/DFW/IAH/AUS. I'm sure at some point, A321CEO will get upgraded, but I don't think it's pressing need right now. Some A320s were in not great shape.

Last night I got to experience my first trip on a refurbed plane - N763JB/flt 603 BOS-PHX and was beyond impressed. I admit I was dubious about the new slim line seats, but they really were comfortable.... well at least compared to my outbound flight where the seat cushion was so worn thin on one side I could feel the metal below, which was a literal pain in the @$$!

The large highly responsive touch screen was a joy with the decent selection of on demand movies.

They cannot roll these upgrades out fast enough!

The second phase is hands down way better then what the current 321s/early refit birds have, for entertainment and touch screen response. And the content that the AVANT system has for entertainment also is impressive. The phase 2 birds are already making the phase 1 birds/321s looks old entertainment wise and I hope plans change to update those planes to the current AVANT system.

They desperately need the 321 neo to replace all the ceos. That mid cabin lav is a must. The tiny 3rd bathroom in the back of the ceos is useless. Actually it has one small use as a dedicated crew bathroom. Whoever designed it should of predicted that. They never account for human nature.

The a321ceos will be in the fleet for 25 plus years. The NEOs will certainly not be replacing any current aircraft, they are all growth.

This looks to be like a test flight. There’s a full crew on it but doesn’t appear to be any customers. Anyone know the exact purpose of this flight?

I’m hopefully going to be updating the refurb list later today once I can get an accurate list.

Not sure but until then you can check out phase 2 cabin pics as I believe it’s the same cabin!

https://www.google.com/amp/s/thepointsg ... -tour/amp/

Also just curious if anyone knows whether B6 has been placing the phase 1 & 2 A320s on longer trans-cons & Latin America routes mostly first or if they will just appear on random routes all around? Gotta flight BUR-BOS in the fall, got my fingers crossed I’ll get try it out.

I flew Etay Luebay SJU-BOS last week and was EXTREMELY impressed. I had no idea so few frames have been refurbished to date - they can’t do this quickly enough in my opinion!

Fast, free WiFi and streaming movies made the 3.5 hour flight over the ocean actually as good as everyone wants you to believe JetBlue is.

I’m so happy to hear 606 is now in for mod. It was in desperate need...plus I was supposed to work on it all weekend for my trip! Glad to see it’s now been replaced with a Phase 1 32M.

Cheers!
