Just curious where you saw that? I couldn’t find anything showing it was delivered.

It was shown as scheduled when I originally saw it and then it didn't show up later on in the day when I checked. Not sure what happened

Interesting. The FAA Database makes it look like it’s delivered and using an active registerarion , but I can’t find anything on airfleets, nor any flight tracking information showing it was physically delivered. Wonder if it was delivered on paper but still not with JB yet. Regardless, must be close.

It did not leave XFW.
Skyliner showed a planned delivery flight for 31st.

Taking a quick look at the bid packet, it seems 952 on 2/20 is indeed a classic 320. The beginning and end of the month it's operated by a 32M (restyled), however there's a few days in the middle where it's a regular 320.

Wish I had better news! We're approaching 50% completion, so they'll be restyled more often than not very soon. I personally can't wait until they are all finished.

Cheers!

Thank You. There is actually a 27 row, b6 2252, that same day, leaving MCO around 3pm. The funny thing is that 952 (12:15ish) on Wed, 12/19 is a 32M, and 2252 is a classic, but on Thursday (when I fly home), it's vice-versa.

I actually have a flight on Saturday, 1/4, B6 1566, RSW to BOS. Are you able to see what # it is? Looks like it might be 766.

Thanks again! :)

Looks like that flight is scheduled for Tail 534 "Bada Bing Bada Blue". It's a 32M, however it's a phase 1 restyling that was returned to service May 2. It looks just like the 321 as far as the seat design and IFE.

Cheers!

It appears that 729 has more contour in her seats than other Phase 2 aircraft/A321NEO by looking at photos. Is this true? I also heard B6 might remove padding to make more legroom. Is that true?

Thanks.

The photos were when 729 first released, and there was a video walkthrough from Beyond UFOs of 768 at LCQ. And also photos of 2002 didn't look very contoured.

Not to my knowledge, no. All phase 2 are the same seat: B/E Meridian. I have inspected multiple ship sets and there was no difference. The re-style was already designed to have "the most legroom in coach", no reason to create a 3rd economy experience.

Currently, they are using a lot of Phase 2 aircraft between Providence, RI and FLL. Will they still be running Phase 2 aircraft on that route throughout April?

Is 805 still on the list?

Thanks.

Interesting that 805 came down from BOS, I think almost all the others arrived from FLL. Not that it matters a whole lot, just curious honestly.

If memory serves, the mods take about a month so 531 and 565 should be done roughly by end of next week.
I also thought there were 5 lines and 805 makes 6, will it hold until 531 is done, given it should only be a few days gap?

I feel like 805 was a spur of the moment add. Which is why it came down from BOS and never showed up on the “to do” list in previous posts. Interestingly enough, before I started posting the ones on the list to be refitted 805 was on the list and then taken off and replaced by 827 if I remember correctly. So maybe 805 just ran out of time and was going to turn into a pumpkin very soon if it didn’t get heavy maintenance. So I bet it will just sit down there till a spot opens up.

Update; Internally 805 was showing as a standard 320 on 01/02. But on 01/03 it showed up as “on the list” and as we can see was quickly sent down to SAL on 01/06

so my guess is 547 will leave either Sunday or Tuesday.. They literally seem to be taking about a month for the mods. which is pretty impressive when you think about it.

Tail 648 has arrived SAL early this morning for Phase 2 (replacing 565). This is one of the 3 JetBlue Vacations aircraft.

507JT should be next when 547's done.

Interestingly (given all but 1 aircraft have come from FLL to SAL) 507 is scheduled to be in FLL tomorrow night on a flight from BOS landing around 8pm, so my guess RON in FLL, fly down Monday morning as 547 leaves.

got the data from flightradar24, so could be subject to change of course.

Curious to know if 526JL has received phase1 As of today or if it’s on the schedule for the future. Flying this from FLL to LAS.

Interesting they have a NEO (only one listed though) in the list of planes, but omitted the NEO’s tailfin design in the updated list of all the others.

Correct per B6 as of 12/31/19, it's about 2/3 of the way down the filing.

Anyone else heard that Jetblue has recently bought at least 4 (ex Thomas Cook) A321s ?

not sure if it is from TCX, but they did say in the earnings slide that they bought some used aircraft to mitigate the A321NEO delays.

Will these go in for a "phase 2" type refurb prior to hitting the line?

Any confirmation on which airline the (4) A321 came from?

I am assuming these are all or mostly in mint configs based on the increases we have seen in those markets for summer.

I would certainly hope so. Mint + new WiFi for Caribbean/Central America coverage.

Be interested if that is a material enough transaction to be officially disclosed. I am guessing not as there are no SEC filings relating to it apart from the comment in the earnings slide as you note.

Looking at the ex TCX fleet on planefleets.net, it does appear there are at least 4 owned by ALC that have not officially gone anywhere yet and were last reported as stored in England. Could be those, they are roughly 5 years old, but are kitted out with between 214 and 220 seats, which is obviously more than Mint 159 and Core 200.

The 4 i am thinking of

G-TCVA/B/C and D are also ironically ex Monarch birds too :(, sad history for those 4. i maybe wrong, but 5 year old aircraft would be in the right spot for B6 to keep their fleet age down, but do seem the most likely of the options. I am sure folks more in the know could confirm or deny this...

I got to fly on a phase 2 bird earlier this week on my way down to FLL, and Southwest for the first time since 2006 on the way back to BOS.

Some thoughts:

Jetblue Phase 2 (N766JB): I really enjoyed a lot of the updates, however I take issue with the amount of padding in the seat cushion. I unfortunately found it to be uncomfortable after just 1.5hrs in to the short 2:40 min flight to FLL. I really enjoyed that they include you plane name and tail design on the IFE, however on our flight it was displaying the previous destination and flight info. Also throughout the majority of our flight there wasn't enough signal for the LiveTV or Wifi. However the wifi worked more of the time then the LiveTV worked. Moodlights: All I can say is that I wish all airlines had mood lights on their flights.

Southwest: I can't believe I am gonna say this because I am such B6 fan, but I found the seats on our 737-700 to be quite a bit more comfortable than the new phase 2 seats on Jetblue. Otherwise Jetblue beats southwest on all other aspects of the cabin.

I know that there have been multiple questions about if/when the A321 CEO's would get the Phase 2 interior and Viasat wifi. First, would the Y200 CEO's be able to get those enclosed partitions with the blue circles found on the A320's with the little picture of the tail on the forward galley?

Also, with the MINT CEO's, would it be possible to just get new AVANT screens big enough for the MINT seats and not have to replace the whole entire MINT seats?

Thanks.

I wish I had an exact answer for you on both questions because I’m curious as well. I was thinking a few days ago even if they don’t decide to fully upgrade the 321CEOz to a phase 2 spec. I hope they decide to at least do a phase 1.5 in that they upgrade the WiFi to ViaSat WiFi. That way people would have a little more entertainment over water. I think this could be a quick and easy modification.

I had my first flight on a Phase 1 bird yesterday (BOS-PBI). It was a little bit of a disappointment after experiencing the Phase 2 mod but it's still a huge improvement over the original cabins. I overheard several passengers, who clearly weren't frequent flyers, commenting on how new and comfortable the seats looked. The only downside to the refurbishment project is now I desperately want to avoid the old cabin! Fingers crossed I get a refurb for the return flight tomorrow!

507 is scheduled for SAL tomorrow from MCO taking the place of 608

And it looks like tail 615 (FDNY) is scheduled for MCO on 02/03

I can’t speak for other airlines but that jumpseat is only used for take off and landing, is think it would be same at other airlines. F9, NK, and DL have that set up in the back now as well.

No, Delta does not have the jumpseat on the door. While the galleys are similar, the jumpseat is in the galley, where it should be. Not on the lav door or one foot in front of it. Thats what good leadership does, listen to their employees and not put profit first. That configuration required DL to take out one row of seats after its flight attendants complained of no room to work. Its miserable back there to work/eat/do anything

JetBlue also reconfigured its A320s with fewer seats than originally planned in order to give more room for flight attendants to work.

I have a B6 A320 flight MCO-BOS Thursday Feb. 20, 2020, flight 952. We chose this flight to have an updated plane. But recently is says 25 rows on the map. I understand that sometimes they need to be swapped out, but why do they swap quite a bit? What if someone booked row 26? I want to try Phase 2 badly, so that's bad luck. Hope I get it.

Cheers!

We actually switched our flight to 2252, MCO-BOS on Thu. 2/20 in Row 26, so hopefully that will be my first Phase 2 flight! :)
