507JT arrived MCO yesterday. Funny thing is that 623 (JetBlue Vaca's) arrived MCO before 507 left. How could this happen?

Thanks.

Looked up tail 507 and it did not make it back to MCO yesterday. I’ve been following 507 for the past few days and it’s been trying to make it back to work, just doesn’t seem like 507 is ready yet to come back from vacation.

I’m not sure what you mean by tail 623 making it back before 507. 623 is scheduled for SLC tonight and 648 is the other vacations plane.

On FlightAware, 623 flew down from MCO to SAL late Friday night/early Saturday. Is 623 scheduled to replace 507 at SAL?

Ahhh yes. I see what you’re seeing now. Might if fat thumbed the tail number when I looked it up. Odds are then yes 623 is replacing 507

Most likely ease of scheduling, there’s still some slack in the fleet right now, so if it’s only a couple of days, it’s probably ok and they can hold the incoming aircraft until the departing one is gone. I don’t think the first time this has happened. Seem to recall something similar when 805 got pulled out of BOS.

I have no clue. Probably because it was already scheduled to be down there that day and B6 planned on it already being out of service after that date.

Tail 507 is now on its way home.

With 62 A320s now refurbished, you have a 52% chance of getting the older A320 cabin in general.

As for RSW, it depends on the route.

HPN-RSW uses classic A320s on this route as of now
BOS/JFK/BDL-RSW uses a mix of both classic and refurbished A320s
EWR-RSW is now a common route for its refurbished A320s

I think I understand what you are trying to say here. I found out that JFK-RSW is 3X daily in June, and currently, the A320 flights show the older cabin when booking. However, that may change over time.

With all the chaos and schedule draw down currently, will more planes go to the refurb line in SAL or is JB in cash preservation mode and refurbs will be suspended? Hard to figure out which way they'll go on this without being on the inside.

With these 4 A321’s, will they be all core or MINT, once they get the JetBlue interiors? And what tail design will they have?

And what other B6 aircraft are scheduled for repaints?

Thanks.

I hope they get mint interiors. Now that they have to cut more flights, seems like they can take this opportunity to get more a320 refurbished too.

Not sure they want to spend more capex than that though. Time to conserve cash.

Thanks again!

These 4 A321s were intended to fly for at least a year with original TC interiors with minimum modifications. no TV or Wifi. They were simply intended to fill the capacity gap caused by the airbus delays. However, with the coronavirus meltdown, these planes aren't even needed anymore, I wonder if the leases can be cancelled. As for accelerating the A320 refits, I dont think so either as they are no longer desperate for the extra capacity nor keen on spending any extra money. The only reason to even continue with the reconfigurations is because they are so old and in such poor shape, otherwise they would probably cancel the program.

It does make sense for them to cancel on the A321 lease given the current situation, but I'm not sure what kind of penalties they will face for that. I think they need to finish A320 refits as soon as possible. It helps with their margins.

From what I can see, the latest revision of the aircraft schedule shows no reduction in Interior Refreshes in the A320 fleet so full steam ahead but no increase. It also shows the A321neos still coming from Hamburg. The only real adjustments are based on accommodating the crews like me that have to go in/out of SAL normally on other airlines but now on our own metal so I think we will see ferry flights now focus on MCO since that is central for everyone in our Crew. As a reminder, El Salvador has closed it's borders so it is a difficult time for crews to swap out and potentially get parts there as many of the kits come from Europe to Miami on boat, then to Guatemala on boat, then SAL on truck. Logistics is going to be quite interesting for the next few weeks. I should be on a ferry flight on Monday and will see....

I looks like your answer just arrived: Tail 708 is on its way to SAL from MCO.

Also, does anyone know when tails 587, 618, and 526 are done with their refurbishment?

587JB-In Progress ferried MCO-SAL 02/15
618JB-In Progress ferried MCO-SAL 02/16
526JL-In Progress ferried MCO-SAL 02/16

based on the dates above, and assuing no delays, the refurbs have been taking about a month, so i am thinking this week they might be ready. The question will then be, will get replaced. It's nice to see 708 over at SAL so it seems the project is going to continue, but you have 3 close together here.. That said if some of the fleet is sitting on the ground doing nothing, it might be a simple ferry to replace.

I’m on Flightradar 24 and under MCO I see flights 6405 and 6422 arriving MCO at the same time and 6425 and 6435 departing MCO at the same time. It looks like it will be 589 and 613 headed to SAL

N618 and N655 both returned to MCO today from SAL (I was on N618's flight and have to say I really liked the new interior).

True or False?:

613, replaced 618, replaced 569 on the same Mod line, 589, replaced 655 on the same Mod line,
and 526 replaced 648 (JB Vaca’s) on the same Mod Line.

Is the above correct? Thanks.

Question about the older A320s, and the A321s when their time comes for mods. If they already have the new sidewalls, etc. Will they refurbish the sidewalls, or will they get a complete new set? Does anyone know if the Thomas Cook A321s will get full B6 colors too?

If the aircraft already has an Enhanced Interior (N7##JB and higher), no, they do not get replacement sidewalls/ceiling panels as they already have the new standard. A321s (N9##[email protected]) are not on the list for interior restyles.

Yeah. By the time we're ready to grow our fleet again, Airbus will be caught up with production

Looks like one of the A320s will be launching from SAL tomorrow. Looks like 588 or 706 will take its place.

Tail 526 will be heading back to MCO today, making it the 65th A320 with the new interior. This means that B6 has reached the halfway point of their A320 refurbishments!

Since JetBlue doesn't normally service SAL, how do they get a pilot to fly the plane back? Do they fly another plane in first and then the flight deck crew switches?
Pilot: "Request push, which way should we face?" JFK Ground: "You better face the front, sir, or you'll scare the pax!"

It looks like 828 will take its place, but not 100% sure.

So I will have to go through the whole fleet for a updated list and to see what has replaced what. However what’s Interesting the pilots that are flying 526 back currently brought tail 527 into SAL today as well which is already a 32M. So is it going into storage? Or does it have a maintenance check?
