Wamos and LH in DEN

Sun Nov 18, 2018 8:24 am

Lately there has been a Wamos A330 flying in to DEN. Today i had the chance to actually see it at Concourse A and the gate said it was a LH flight to FRA. The bridges were already pulled so it is possible the gate refreshed to an LH one immediately after.

I also saw the daily LH 744 arrive into DEN today so ir makes me wonder if LH is leasing extra capacity into DEN for the winter or if something else is up. Last week I also saw an LH A330 takeoff; is this a seasonal MUC downgauge from the A350?Do any of y'all know?

Thanks in advance from freezing Colorado! :)
When wasn't America great?

EC-MJS has been to Denver recently operating the Norwegian service to LGW.

So it's got nothing to do with LH :)

Ever since DEN-MUC returned this time around, it has always been an A330 in the winter. It was an A346 in the summer to start, though the summer bird has since changed to be the A350. To date, it's the first and only regularly scheduled A330 service into DEN.

The Wamos plane for Norwegian will be making the trips until 1/10/19 according to this

That feeling when you sit at the end of a runway, brakes are released and the raw power takes over. Now that is a thing of beauty and it never gets old.

According to FlightRadar24, it appears to be EC-MJS, which is operating Norwegian's Denver rotation.

It's not uncommon that the gate info said Lufthansa to Frankfurt while the Wamos (Norwegian) plane was still at the gate. As soon as the gate closes, the info for the next flight comes on. Seems like Lufthansa was the next user of the same gate after Wamos (Norwegian).

I've seen a similar situation when I was in Los Angeles. I was waiting for my flight to Barcelona on Norwegian. It was announced at a certain gate number, I don't remember which. When I got to the gate there was a Lufthansa A380 to Munich waiting for boarding. I've watched the whole Lufthansa boarding process. The boarding hadn't even been completed or the monitors at the gate switched from Lufthansa to Norwegian. It was kind of weird seeing Norwegian on the monitors and the last people still boarding the Lufthansa flight. After Lufthansa departed, it didn't take long or a Norwegian 787 showed up for my flight.

According to Lufthansa's spreadsheet timetable they plan to operate the 744 daily between FRA and DEN during the next weeks, while MUC-DEN shall get a mix of 333 and 359.

Yep Wamos is operating for Norwegian. Nothing to do with LH. We only have a limited number of gates for international arrivals so likely as the previous commenter said. the CUTE system already changed.
