Airbahn

Sun Nov 25, 2018 11:42 pm

Airbahn is a new US carrier with its current office in Irvine, California. It plans to operate scheduled service "to mid-tier markets initially from Southern California to Northern California, Nevada, and to Western Canada" using A320s. It is owned by Tariq Chaudhary (and his immediate family), who is also co-founder and CEO of AirBlue.

Sounds suspicious. I would not wager on long term success, or perhaps even getting off the ground.

Their logo seems to have been ripped off pretty much exactly from AirBlue in Pakistan...

It would not even work in Germany, for a number of reasons. Similarity with DB who owns rights to bahn.de or other Name combinations with bahn would kill that Project.

Their original Pakistani airline has only 8 a/c, and they really think they will be able to beat 8+ well established airlines around CA .. ?? !!

For a moment I thought DB had begun looking at flight services. Wouldn't be completely out of place, since they already spread into long-distance bus services.

Airbahn sound much more appealing than Airtrain. Can't imagine they are going to be able to do much with the competition out of California. But I wish them the best!
