Correct me if I'm wrong, but haven't all the Pokémon liveries been dropped? If they, or the Hello Kitty liveries were that popular, or good, surely they would've been rolled-out across their respective fleets?

They are the Christmas jumpers of the airline world.

Ummm. I'm pretty sure eva has done very well with their themed planes for a very long time. http://www.evakitty.com/en/

Think nostrils. I'm not sure about sea turtles but my pet snake has nostrils that take on a similar appearance.

No, you're not! Looks like a five-year old was let loose on it. Another kindergarten livery. I hate them. . . :vomit:

Seems to be very common in Japan. I remember the Pokemon and Disney planes.

It *was* designed by a five-year-old (well, a young kid anyway). This is the result of a public competition held by ANA IIRC.

Novelty liveries are just that: novelties.

There's nothing wrong with that, we all need a bit of variety in our lives.

Of course. My point being that novelties are something best appreciated, and enjoyed, temporarily. They wear off VERY quickly.

As opposed to standard liveries, which provide unlimited hours of rich, meaningful viewing pleasure both at home, and abroad.

Couldn't muster enough courage to state my opinion. Convinced myself not seeing the same image as others based on their comments.

I must say I'm not a fan of this livery. Not very flattering IMHO. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong image as well.

The appeal of standard liveries lies in their subtlety: they're gently reminding you -- hopefully tastefully, but not always -- that the airline is still around, rather than screaming it at you. The new Lufthansa livery does that beautifully. This one does not. :eyepopping:

I think it looks fantastic!

Looking forward to fly one of these NH A380’s next year.

Well said.
I cannot agree more.

This type of paint scheme probably gets very old very quickly for anyone over 6 years old, although the family-oriented Hawaii vacation travelers may tend to be no-repeat customers anyhow.

I confess I actually avoid American Airlines flights based on my dislike of their livery; I do not want to associate myself with the sense of style reminiscent of Ronald McDonald, the Clown.
