This just made me think that it would be awesome if you could just bring any animal to the check-in desk and then you get it served perfectly fried onboard. I'd probably would bring half a cow...

Of course if such a "service" would exist, some people would get the advertisements wrong, would think of it as a way to get their lovely pet transported for free and would get the shock of their life, when their little beloved fish named Wonda gets served on a plate...

A few years ago I saw Southwest deny boarding to a bird.

A family was trying to board with a parakeet in a cage, and the agents at the gate weren’t having any of it.
The plural of Airbus is Airbuses. Airbii is not a word.
There is no 787-800, nor 787-900 or 747-800. It's 787-8, 787-9, and 747-8.
A321neoLR is also unnecessary. It's simply A321LR.
Airplanes don't have isles, they have aisles.

So neither chicken nor fish onboard WN? Now, that's really LCC!!

Just a small bag of dry snacks... Perhaps fish crackers as peanuts have likely been banned.

I read this to our goldfish, and all the way through it was mouthing, "wow wow wow wow...".

Mind you, judging by its expression, our fish seems constantly amazed.

Oh, and Icelandair wouldn't get involved, they have bigger fish to fly.

At least fish feces is a lot smaller, and smells a lot less disgusting, than what passengers' emotional support dogs leave behind on carpeting, seats, etc......

The real sad thing is that anyone would consider this news. 20 years ago if you reported this to the media their response would have been "Grow Up Snowflake" now the media looks of r this and eggs this stuff on and creates even more of it.

They actually do! If you have seen what has happened to the small city local papers you might not criticize so much. USA Today actually is a news source... Of course, they always have some degree of more trivial news...

The only reason to look at any of the local papers in my region is that the Green Bay one has good coverage of the local football team (Packers). That is almost the total extent of their newsworthiness... Green Bay is not quite an hour away, and I have no clue why my local paper has any subscribers left... They don't cover anything local well at all.

Have a great day,

My wife had a pet fish in college and she would take it home during the holidays in the airplane. This was in the late 1990s before TSA. She would put the fish in her water bottle, and it would just swim around inside there the entire time. Security would look at it, murmur something like "that's new" and wave her on.

The good old days...

My question is, why can’t a fish fly?

I get why small animals like hamsters can’t fly, because if they get out, they are a safety risk as they could chew up wires. But, a fish is pretty harmless, and even if the fish does get out, only the fish is in trouble.

Believe me you a friend of mine flew all the way from Costa Rica to Tahiti with a bunny in her panties. While checking in at SJO she was told she couldn’t board with the bunny in its crate. She decided to abandon the poor thing at the airport but apparently couldn’t bring herself do it so she had the brilliant idea to put it in her panties. And she spent the next 24h+ with a breathing creature in her crotch. Went thru security with it both in SJO and LAX where she connected to PTP. It went on to live a long and healthy life in Tahiti. Not bad. We still laugh about it all the time 10 years after it happened.
