When does this go into service? Isn't the Thomson Vantage the same seat AA uses in their 767 J?
Are you serious? It’s one A321, AA currently has 220 A321s, and 161UW is not even back in revenue service.

As an aviation enthusiast, I’ll look for any excuse to justify the 757 instead of a boring A321.

OB, yes... AA 767s have the same J seats as DL just without the IFEs.

Which A321 are you talking about? Because the LUS321 is okay while the LAA321 is a nice product not talking about the A321T. Then again I haven't gotten the privilege to try the B757 yet

I honestly prefer the LUS A321 because of the generously padded seats and excellent legroom. The 757 has the worst product of the three but... it’s a 757.

I don't understand why they wouldn't put a hold on Wifi upgrades and send these planes to MIA to cover all the cancellations happening due to the MAX grounding and 14 Oasis planes out of service.

Because Parker sees $$ signs with Oasis. The hell with the paxs. The serfs on the ground at LGA can deal with trying to reaccomodate 5 planes of paxs.
Parker must have the BOD in his back pocket.

Am sorry to be that guy, but March 30th is a Saturday.
(Reading this post at first glance gave me a mini heart attack that I booked incorrectly..) so sorry.

Yes very recently, March of 2019. Apr 1st at the latest all TATL routes will stop seeing the 767. The last two International 767 flights from JFK were AA 44 JFK-CDG and AA 94 JFK-MAD. These two flights are now switching to the 77E.

I agree that Oasis is a disaster and a major mistake by AA management - which, of course, is DP. Actually, agree that DP probably likes the "Oasis" conversions, because his job is to deliver a profit, but I've also noticed on this newsgroup that we seem to have gone from bashing United to bashing American. I think he's making a mistake, but both Delta and United have done essentially the same thing. The only difference is that DL kept the IFE in place. People won't pay $5 more to get a better product.
Parker previously said he regretted taking out the powerports from the US Airbus fleet. I think he may live to regret removing IFE from the current fleet. But there is nowhere else for AA passengers, including their "elites" to go that is any better.
I have long felt that the LUS A321's (without IFE or power ports) were some of the most comfortable airplanes flying, in coach. Well padded seats, 32" pitch - which is more than the AA 32B's, which I also like. But it doesn't matter. If you don't like AA, you'll find DL and UA to be just as bad. Yes, sometimes DL is better, but they have bad days as well. Same thing with UA. Alaska and JetBlue may be a bit better, but even they have problems sometimes. And as long as Southwest has open seating, they're always going to be my last choice, and I live in Dallas, which is their home.
Bottom line: We're all screwed. Oasis is not going to be reversed. He's not putting IFE back in. Streaming IFE is inferior to seat back video. They just don't care.

Very interesting. Thank you.
AA now has a very competitive product from JFK on all European routes.

If Parker is cheap trope is true why has he orchestrated the largest capital expenditures program in aviation industry?
Its the comments of first choice for the lazy or the brainwashed.

Until passengers stop flying them, AA has no incentive to change. The Oasis change might be responding to market forces. Reality is there are limited choices for travel, especially non-stop. DL seems to be atop the ratings, but I would not call any of their Y seating spacious. UA is using their hubs to push into the premium space. AA has premium cabins, smaller than most, with emphasis on lower cost / Y cabins. If they start losing paying passengers, Parker / AA will have to change, but data shows that is not happening.
