MSN 316 (SQ#36-regional) sporting final reg (9V-SHH) - delivery imminent
MSN 321 (JL#1-359 domestic) sporting its final reg (JA01XJ) - delivery imminent
MSN 325 (BF#3) first CAF #AIB03IW
MSN 326 (BA#1) exited paint hangar
MSN 344 (SQ#41-long haul) exited FAL

Final delivery count for May 2019 is 13 (with EY#1 being contractually delivered on 5/31) which i believe is a record.

It's nice to see a new A35K operator. She looks splendid, but would really be killer in the Landor livery. A guy can dream...

Next up is VS.

It looks as though the speedmarque is a tad longer already.

IIRC...Virgin is introducing new Upper Class seats on their 35J's , so that's almost a guarantee
of a delay these days.

BA is also introducing their new Club World Suites on their A35Ks, so perhaps they are further along the installation process than VS is with the installation of their new Upper Class Suites!

Is BA having the complete A350-1000 cabin installation done in TLS?

I recall that on the 777-300ER, World Traveler was installed at the FAL and then Club World and World Traveler Plus were installed post-delivery at a BA facility (Cardiff?).

Friends, I'm confused.
A350-941 according to https://www.jal.co.jp/en/aircraft/conf/359.html
-> or A350-942 with 210t MTOW as several times discussed here ?

It‘s a 280T fuselage,but limit at 217T or 210T by software.

Per Airbus statements at the press event, the frames have an MTOW of 217,000kg which correlates to Weight Variant 018 (WV018) in the Airbus ACAP. They also likely have Trent XWB-75 engines, rated at 75,000lbs of thrust.

We're still unsure if these are officially A350-941 or A350-942. The EASA TCDS (dated May 2019) continues to only show A350-941. The plane also has a Japanese Type Certificate, but I do not know what it is listed as in that document.

It seems to exist in the imagination of the guy running Google A350xwb site but

There is clearly no -942 variant.
The TCDS mention the XWB-75 under the -941.

According Japan‘s authorities MSN 321 it is an -941.

They are associated with a changed wing twist, so I would say no.

I think the general consensus is that they could be, but serves no benefit without the modified wing twist.

Great work guys, love this thread. Quick question why are some A350s painted before engine installation and some painted after. What determines this decision?

Great work guys, love this thread. Quick question why are some A350s painted before engine installation and some painted after. What determines this decision?

There might be different factors but at least if the birds (like Etihad A6-XWA) are painted in Hamburg instead of Toulouse then they should install the engines before going into the paint shop... ;)
