AFAIK WAW is maxed-out at peak hours only.

But isn't that when most long-haul flights depart? I mean due to connectivity they should happen during the waves when the airport is quite busy

Wasn’t there a new bid for slots or something like that at WAW? I remember reading an article that had info about all the airlines and all the slot requests that they put in. I also saw pics that the level 100 bus gates are almost done, maybe additional slots are planned on being added.

Do you happen to know how many bus gates are going to be opened? I guess they could move someone to a remote stand to make room for a widebody, though it would have to be someone from the non-Schengen area.

To which destination is the aircraft used on the other 4/7 ?

I suppose leases will be paid by Rolls Royce?

I hope so! It will be what 1.5-2 years of wet leases? Not including the earlier other widebody aircraft.

I do wonder if LO actually helped Air Belgium avoid bankruptcy. They have been on of their most regular customers.

Haha! Yep and it would have been a sight to see if they would put a LOT sticker. Yesterday of the 5 flights to the US 3 of them were Air Belgium’s.
