its working the VS 104/103 segments. Probably some issue with the VS fleet and metal neutral JV partner is stepping in.

Yep, and looking at the schedule this week it looks like DL001 will be the 764 every day. I know there was a lot of talk on here about delays for EIS of the modded aircraft, and that folks were expecting EIS on ATL-LHR. It looks like this JFK trip is where the scheduled EIS took place.

But the retrofitted N831MH operating JFK-LHR was a 'one-off' only for the 16 and 17 Nov (it went JFK-LHR on 16 Nov and then LHR-JFK on 17 Nov and has since been sitting at JFK). The EIS for the first three routes with the retrofitted 764s have all been delayed:
DL30 ATL-LHR originally scheduled Nov 12 has been delayed till Nov 20
DL1 JFK-LHR originally scheduled Nov 16 did start on Nov 16 but then reverted to the old 764 for about a week; it will only start on a continuous basis on Nov 23
DL58 BOS-LHR originally scheduled Nov 20 has been delayed till Dec 3

DL's winter widebody schedule requires ~25 less frames than its summer schedule. Hence the slack in usage. Some of these frames go through scheduled heavy checks, some cabin upgrades, some winter storage and the rest are just floating around the network with the average frame utilization rate substantially down during winter.

Not until W20-21 by the looks of it as the oldest 76Ls are getting life extension programs this Winter at VQQ.

What about N183DN and N185DN, the two newest 76Ls that were supposed to be converted to 76Zs? Have they been converted, or are those plans cancelled?
In other news, N710DN will exit SIN mods tomorrow morning.

Just a thought, but is it wise to list MILITARY charters in this open forum? No one really needs to know about troop movements, even if it is after the fact.

They are publicly available. If the government did not intend them to be public, they wouldn't be.
