Do DL’s A350’s have tail cameras that, for example, allow passengers to watch takeoff and landing? If DL did not order this option, why?

Crew change. They are short one pilot since the FO decided to show up drunk.

When Delta retrofits the A330-200/300s with the new cabin, are they likely to do the -200s first, as there are a smaller fleet of those than the -300s? It seems that might be why the 777-200ERs will all be finished with their retrofits before the777-200LRs.

Looks like LAX-HND is switching to A350s starting in April, taking over for an A330-300 (which is also what usually flies flight 193). Looks like a similar situation to last summer with the one-off flight from Detroit.

Any ideas about the completion rate on the 764 cabin mods once they ramp up after the summer high season? I have a work trip in November that will put me on a 764, so just wondering about my chances to see the new product. Granted, its on ATL-HNL, so the chance is basically zero. But I just wanted to see if anyone knew how many modified aircraft would be in service by then.

My guess is that it would be LHR. When the 764s first received flat bed J seats in ~2009, LHR was the first to get them.

ATL or JFK to LHR would be a safe bet. In fact, last March most LHR flights switched to the 234-seat A330-200, because the A330s have a nicer biz class seat than the 767s. They claimed it was to put an onboard product closer to VS on their LHR flights. The new 764 cabin will have 238 seats total, which is close to the A332.

There should be 4 simultaneous lines @CAN beginning in September. Say 35 days by frame. So by mid Oct you're looking at a fleet of 5 and by late Nov, a fleet of 9. Something like that.

Hasn't the first DL A339 NEO been painted? I cant see it taking to much longer for first delivery to occur. Maybe 2-3 months tops? Anyone know?

Looks like N832MH-B764 operated 9971 ATL-SEA in order to operate 167 SEA-NRT-SIN. Is this to get the aircraft in for D1 mods?

It certainly looks like it! The B764 mods are being done at CAN, not SIN, and N832MH is heading to CAN from NRT.

I just sent it out this morning, I guess afternoon if you want to get technical, and it looked like it was continuing the SIN tag from NRT. Guess they'll have something else continue the tag. Thanks for the info.

its a heavy maintenance entry. taking the spot of of N829MH which is exiting. there won't any other 764 D1 mods until the prototype is finished and FAA certification is granted. So nothing until the Fall.

Just at DTW and I am watching N505DN return to the gate after almost 3 hours enroute to PVG. Looks like they are switching airplanes and the trip is going to depart again at 2100 local. Anyone on the inside know what's up? Aircraft being followed by fire trucks but taxiing normally under its own power and just pulling into the gate. Rough day on the Asia operation as PEK was also 3 hours late.
