What happened to 3078? I know they deliver out of order - especially since they are coming from factories on two continents, but this aircraft seems far out of sequence.

Hamburg built aircraft seem to lag BFM by quite a margin. I raised 3078 on another forum, and feed back was there is just a large amount of backlog at the factory. There are three out of four of the backlog built with engines. Presently stored on the ramp waiting first flight, see link below :

This backlog will also create delivery delays for the 321Neo.

Airbus has pushed back DL's first delivery until late July 2020.

When was DL originally scheduled to get its first?

Do you know what the fleet numbers are going to be for the NEOs and remaining CEOs once they pass 3099? It appears there are registration numbers reserved in the 100s for the CEOs and 500s for the NEOs, but they are out of fleet numbers in the 3000s.

1XXX for the CEOs and 5XXX for the NEOs.
