I was told last night that EBG has gone in for refurb, yes.

Yep -EBF back in service today QF119 BNE-AKL, and as mentioned previously -EBG is already in.The only A332s 'remaining' to have things done to them are -EBA/J/K for wifi hump and -EBM/N for 27J conversion. At time of my typing here -EBA/J/K/M/N are in service. Also there are quite a few A330s that still need to be repainted which are done in Singapore, plus wifi humps can/are installed in SYD as well. At the moment, it's anyones guess.. a BNE 'replacement' could be a B737 wifi install OR just be a 'general/scheduled maintenance' aircraft. The BNE facility has other 'client' airlines as well...not exclusively qantas.

EBM is currently enroute from SIN to BNE as QF52. It is not turning around to operate tomorrow’s flight as a 333 is scheduled for that. Maybe EBM is going into maintenance.

Only HKG and that is due to 789 repo to Sydney once weekly. SIN, NRT and AKL (QF119/26) are other A330 flights and all of them are daily A330 ops.
Ps - EBM went to AKL on QF119 this morning so not sure if any A330s are taking the spot at the moment.

NRT has not been daily, and will not return to daily until next week. HKG has also not been operating daily, even taking the weekly B789 rotation into account.
SIN and AKL have, as you pointed out, maintained their normal A330 schedules. The temporary reductions on HKG and NRT have, however, seen A330s remain in BNE for a couple of days at a time over the last few weeks.

While HKG did drop down to 5x it is definitely back to daily, 6x 330 1x 789.

And to clear things up further...OQE HAS NOT BEEN REFURBISHED..OQG WILL NOT BE REFURBISHED..THEY ARE IN DRS ONLY FOR MAINTENANCE. Just needs to be made clear as there are posts (on other forums) flying around saying that the refurb has only taken 16days to complete!! How ANYONE with ANY intelligence could believe that, is beyond meBut then again..it is 'social media', so ANYTHING is possible
Chris2302 wrote:Could we see if SYD-HND becomes an A380 route, SYD-DFW become a 787 route with also a launch of MEL-DFW?
Chris2302 wrote:Well if they managed to swap the A380 from SYD to DFW to HND then it could work. And then use 2/6 787s for the SYD-DFW.
I guess to be able to to do MEL-DFW they will have to either stop flights to SFO or order more 787s (for also Paris, Seattle, Vancouver and possibly Frankfurt and Daily BNE-ORD)
With Seattle and Vancouver, could we see them launching from SYD 3-4 days a week to each?
